The book is smallish, and has around 60 content pages. I read it easily in two days, and loved the whole thing! The author uses facts and interesting, true tales together to make it an interesting read. Furthermore, the pictures are amazing! I will definitely be keeping and recommending this book.

My younger brother had bought my mom a couple of hermit crabs and she had no idea what to do with them. This book is perfect, it told her everything she needs to know about taking care of hermit crabs. I highly recommend!

This book was very educational and helpful for me and my daughters. We learned a lot and learned hermit crabs as pets weren't for us. I think they would be happier in a salt water aquarium than a terrarium. We had extreme difficulty keeping ours alive even by doing everything by the book. The book is well written, easy to read and easy for my 10 year old to follow.

I bougfht this book for my grandson. He has two hermit crabs. It is a very informative book on a level that anyone can read. Very interesting and helped us care for his hermit crabs. Not too lengthy... just enough info to assist one in caring for hermit crabs. I highly recommend.

My son wants a hermit crab for his first pet and he borrowed a book called purple pinchers from the library that was part of a series of an encylopedia set. I went to find it online and so far was only able to purchase it in a series that was about $175.00. Way too much, so I went to amazon and found a great alternative. This book has great pictures and a lot of good info and my son was just as happy with it for under $2.00 as he would have been with the other.

I actually purchased this book as a gift for a friend who had rescued a hermit crab from a yard sale. She did her best, but it didn't seem like things were going well. Thanks to this book, she's been able to bring her crab back from his boring, sitting in the tank lifestyle to becoming an active, entertaining and engaging pet. Plus, the crab has experienced an improved quality of life too. If you've got crabs, buy this book.

I like that the book has a colored picture on each page. I just received today, will read when I'm having my morning coffee.

This is a great basic care guide for new Hermit Crab owners - adults or kiddos. Wonderful color photos! It's an easy to follow guide on how to take care of those interesting little fellows.

Leider gibt es keine vernünftige Literatur über Landeinsiedlerkrebse in deutscher Sprache. Das macht nichts, wer ein bisschen Englisch versteht, zieht mit diesem Buch den Joker. Das Englisch ist recht einfach zu lesen. Sue Fox schreibt sehr übersichtlich gegliedert über die verschiedenen Themenbereiche der Landeinsiedlerkrebse. Vom Kauf, über das Habitat (Terrarium), das Futter, bis hin zum Sozialverhalten und die Vermehrung der Landeinsiedlerkrebse. Wer dieses Buch aufmerksam liest, wird kaum noch eine Frage zu den Landeinsiedlerkrebsen offen haben. Der Preis ist ebenfalls unschlagbar. Damit kann man nichts falsch machen.
