This is a really good book for anyone interested in a career in Medicine in the UK, it gives you a very broad overview of all the specialities in medicine and gives you an idea about what the career entails, and it is authentic with both the pros and the cons of the career.Apart from that, it has a good overview of the admissions process. The book covers the personal statement, how to go about securing work experience (which is incredibly important as most medical school interviews expect candidates to base their answers off their personal experiences.The book also gives you a good insight into how to prepare for medical school interviews (both MMIs and Panel Interviews) and covers a wide variety of stations that come up time and time again, including calculations, motivation and ethical scenarios.More than that, the book also goes into good detail about specific types Interviews such as oxbridge and Graduate Entry Medicine...Overall, I think this is a good book to get you started with preparation for the personal statement and the interviews, and would be ideal for any student who has just finished Year 12 and is considering applying to medicine :)

Applying for medicine at university can seem like a very daunting prospect, as you have to tackle many aspects including work experience, interviews, personal statements and volunteering. However, this comprehensive guide takes you through step by step the whole process in a clear and thorough manner. It has sections on work experience, the various medical specialities, interviews and personal statements to name a few. The interview section was particularly helpful to me and it contained information on how to answer questions as well as practice questions and suggested answers. I would highly recommend this to any medicine applicants.

I like how this book fully covered the medical school application process from start to end, giving advice on everything from personal statement to work experience. Although I didn't use the work experience section as much, I appreciate how it helped you to reflect from what you saw and the main reason I liked the book was for the interview section. It went through all the MMI stations which helped me narrow my practice to my weaker sections. Would recommend if you don't know where to start with applying to med.

I wanted a book that would help me with the whole application process rather than purchasing seperate ones for each aspect. i was nervous whether this would be good however after reading the reviews I was sold and bought it.
