MOOER Prime P1 Intelligent Multi-Effects Processor Bass Guitar Pedals

As far as a headphone amp goes, this little gadget is FANTASTIC! It's a blast to play with and puts many sounds in the palm of your hand in a VERY portable way. No sticker shock either! A great buy at the price. You can dial in SO many different sounds, giving you complete control over your tone. Very intuitive to use with many effects/tones to choose from. I wouldn't say the tones/effects are necessarily on par with more expensive gear, but it's well-made, and designed for completely portability. It's a great tool to have in your guitar case!

Awesome little multi effect! It packs many preset tones (mostly overdriven) but with the phone app you can customize so many parameters including basics like chorus, phaser, vibrato.. lots of amps and cabs to choose from in the effects as well but with the built in presets you have a great range of sounds to jam with. Apart from effects it has metronome, drums and my favorite the looper! Works beautifully with basses apart from guitars , I have tried with headphone output for night practice and outputting to an audio interface to get the sound from speakers, both sound great. I haven’t tried with bigger amps but I feel this pedal is perfect for home or street jamming if you use a battery powered amp, the pedal battery has been lasting around 4 hrs in long jam sessions. The phone app doesn’t have the best design and can be a bit overwhelming but it does a good job at guiding and pointing the user where to click to get it working quickly, and like mentioned at the begining it’s surprisingly technical and customizable.So far loving this “pedal” and how portable it is, if you compare it with a traditional multi effect that takes at least 5 times the space of this one. A jamming pedal for sure :D

Man, this thing was so close.Playing my backing tracks through it and just laying guitar over was what I was hoping to do. I don't know of a better, small and inexpensive option that this, but it does not output stereo over bluetooth or USB interface modes. No stereo Delay or Reverb on the guitar either, which I wouldn't mind too much, but I'd at least like to have my backing track in Stereo, or even just using it as a bluetooth playback receiver in stereoThat being said, in most situations, the PA isn't going to be in stereo anyway, and when I mix my tracks down in mono and play along using the built in guitar tones and crafting something to close to my original recordings, it honestly feels great. At least for the mid gain stuff.I don't play a lot of High gain stuff, but anything with gain on it really both felt and sound fine and totally passable. Where it really fell short for me was on clean tones with the slight bit of break up. I probably didn't spend enough time with it on that side maybe, but it felt sterile even when simply comparing to the older sans amp RK5. I thought maybe I'd just run my RK5 into this, and then just use this guy as sort of delay, reverb modulation pedal with backing tracks, but again, no stereo.This is so close and I'm sad to return it, but I'd rather wait for the update to this product personally when Stereo is added, as well as maybe things like loading in your own IR cabs, and stereo mod, delay, and reverb effects.Mooer I really hope you guys do an update to this because I really don't know what else on the market does this as easily. I know there are interfaces for phones, but you could literally forget your phone and still just use this thing as an amp. The wireless footswitch I purchased with it worked out of the box with no issues.The idea that your phone is just a control surface for it and not needing to be physically attached honestly was a huge selling point for me and I liked just playing my backing tracks directly out of my music player instead of having to load them into like an RC5 or some other pedal. It means for new tracks I can export directly from logic to my google drive, and then download direct to my phone and I'm ready, laptop can stay at home.If you don't mind the no stereo, this is honestly a really great solution.If anyone knows of anything like this that is small like this is and supports stereo, let me know.

I am thoroughly impressed with the Mooer Prime p1! This will prove to be an indispensable tool for me. It has so many possible uses and simply sounds really amazing. I can use it as an entire rig (electric guitar, bass guitar, or acoustic electric) straight into my computer’s recording interface via 1/4” cable. I have also tried it in front of a traditional amp for using the dynamics, overdrive pedals, or even some of the modulation effects. I also like the results using it in the fx loop of the amp (after the preamp and before the power amp), getting some cool delay, reverb, and modulation after the preamp. And of course it could be used right into a PA at a live show. Or play it into headphones. What a useful tool! I really love that I can use it for not only electric guitar but bass and acoustic-electric as well. I think the Prime p1’s preamps and cabinet simulations sound fantastic, and there are a plethora to choose from. All of the effects sound great and can be arranged in whatever order you like. The iOS/Android app is very easy to use and connects to the Prime p1 via Bluetooth seamlessly. Within the app, you’ll have complete control over your setup and presets, and there are some other handy tools, like the looper, tuner, and drum machine. There is also direct recording into a mobile device via USB (haven’t tried that yet, but maybe I’ll use that feature one day as well). Be sure that your Prime p1 is on the latest firmware (go to “P1”, then “Settings,” scroll to bottom). The Prime p1 is a fantastic device that I would recommend to any guitarist or bassist.

I was looking for a multi-effect setup that was portable, as well as something that would work with bass guitars. There really aren't a lot of budget bass versions available. I saw a couple of reviews, mostly around guitar, but also saw this had firmware for basses as well. That sold me. When I got the device, it also had firmware for acoustic guitars well.First off, this really needs to be controlled by your phone or tablet. Other than clicking through four effects and setting the headphone volume on the device itself, the mobile (phone or tablet) app really is needed to adjust things. It has nine banks with four presets each. It's easy to go through the different effects, make adjustments, and even change the chain order. Bass mode has a split chain as well.I've used the device hooked up to my PA speaker, FX return of my amp, and via headphones. All work really well, and I love having the ability to hook up headphones and play "quiet". The tuner seems to work well, and has drum and looper options. For what I was looking for, this meets all my needs. I want to find a belt clip to make it easier to carry around while playing.One thing I do suggest is also picking up the F4 pedal. This will let you switch between banks, choose between presets. The pedal has the option to use the tuner with it, but it's not the easiest to use like that. You can also control the looper with the pedal. The pedal makes it easy to use without having to look at your phone to change things.So far, I am quite pleased with all the options this little device has!

So for a quick background, I typically play guitar through tube amplifiers with a pretty significantly sized pedal board, although I own and occasionally play through a modeling amplifier. I have been playing with the Prime P1 pedal for a few weeks now, and have been extremely impressed.This pedal, for me, gives me the best of both worlds in a very easy to use product. Essentially, I feel that the Prime P1 offers an extraordinary, almost endless, amount of tones in a very small and simple interface. It literally does everything that both of my modeling amps do, and I find it much easier to use, having it linked to my cell phone. I play this most often through my 5150 on the clean channel and am able to get phenomenal variations that in many ways makes my pedal board obsolete. I've been able to set up and save effects that fit into everything in my set lists, and can switch settings quickly and easily.I see this pedal as becoming a standard piece of my kit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very effective and affordable manner in which to broaden their tonal abilities!

The main problem for me is that the app stopped working, which means that I lose the most of its functionalities. The app has been working until recently. However, it stopped working suddenly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. I've tried two cell phones, but no luck. I also saw a message like "cannot connect to a server", which made me uneasy. As long as it works, it has decent sound and functionalities.

As someone who took over 15yrs off of guitar for life, family, house, career, etc... this thing has been truly been Indispensable to me. I can practice at any point in time in the day and not disturb anyone. Just bring this, my headphones, a guitar cable and guitar. Connect it up to my phone and done.Pros:Small form factor.Great sound.Lots of possible sound options. Mix and match pre-amps, amp heads, cabinets. Then some decent effects that you can add into your signal chain. I'm a metal head so I love being able to go through and play these replica Mesa, Orange, Dr Z, etc... amps/cabs. It's been a lot of fun.I like the looper feature. Being able to record something and then go back work on harmonies or do a lead (not me so much) or little melody over it.The built in drum beats are pretty limited. You aren't changing to crazy time signatures and mixing up different drum patterns and linking patterns together. Still, if you want to pick your BPM and pick the sound of your drums (genre driven), its fun to play along and create something.The tuner is a nice feature as well. Not needing to drop out of the MOOER P1 app to go to a different app to tune the guitar is nice.I like being able to control the mix level between what I'm trying to play along to on my phone and the output of the MOOER.The "cloud tone" options is nice as well as an option. Being able to create your own and save them and have them dump up to the cloud and be able to try other people's tones. All good things.Negatives, to me:Limited drum pattersBattery lasts about 4hrs before it needs to be charged again - it's advertised as such, but it doesn't change the fact its a negative.You can record yourself along with the drums using the looper, but sometimes this function doesn't work as expected. Sometimes you stop the drums and they keep going and maybe you don't want them in your loop.The volume control is easy to use, but it doesn't seem like you can get to a really fine adjustment where you want it.No real "online help". It kind of just kicks you to a YouTube video that doesn't have any audio to explain and do a deep dive on any of the features. Definitely watch reviews on YouTube to get a good idea of how powerful this device really is. Taylor Danley on YouTube does a decent review (IMO). I've watched at least 5 or 6 different reviews of the device before I bought it and even after owning it for a few months, Taylor's review taught me even more.No clear indicator if there is an update to the device. A software push or some sort of notification saying "hey, we've addressed some bugs or added some features and get your latest update in the Play store or something". ANYTHING, but nothing.The tone cloud or cloud tone or whatever you want to call it, its slow, its cumbersome. No great way to search it. You can download anything you want from there, but you will need to overwrite one of your existing presets that shipped with the unit. You may not care about the presets, but then again you may.No clear way to take those "cloud tones" and mark any as Favorites and quickly revisit your favorites.If you record something on the looper that you want to keep, there is no way to "export" that out as an MP3 or other audio file that you could potentially share or listen to on another device.READ the reviews. Watch Reviews (both sponsored and non sponsored) on YouTube. Find out if it is a good fit for you and what your needs are. It's great for me if I'm traveling and want to bring a guitar to play along. Maybe I want to bring a guitar to the office and play on my lunch break? Put one in a gig bag, toss in a cable, headphones and the MOOER and I'm good. It's nice to be around the family and be able to play with "an amp and effects" without disturbing them at all. Total win. I can't recommend it enough.Lastly - I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, because - sadly, there is always room for improvement. You've seen my negatives listed here. I'd like to be able to use bluetooth headphones instead of wired headphones. I'd like to be completely wireless (sadly, latency) but I can't be. I'd like more drum patterns. Be able to record more than 1 loop of music. Still, it is an amazing product for less than the cost of a decent practice amp. Just buy it.

I can’t believe how good this is, very easy to set up and very easy to use. I no longer do live gigs anymore, I play for my own enjoyment at home these days. I have it plugged into a pair of active PA speakers and my guitars are connected wirelessly. I have the app on my iPhone and I have the Bluetooth pedal to control it. I now have the sell my very large pedalboard and my Headrush Floorboard. The best thing about the Prime P1 is that I’m up and running in a few minutes and if I want I can sit on the settee with just a little 4 switch wireless pedal by my feet and no cables. I would definitely recommend this.Now the downside. I’ve been a customer of Amazon for may years and on the whole I’ve been very pleased, however I ordered one of these and when it arrived the box had quite clearly been opened. I was convinced it had been used, tried to register it with Mooer but they didn’t send me a code to do so. I contacted Mooer and said I thought it may have been used, they reset the password and sent me a code. I requested a return and reordered it only to have the same problem so I sent it back for a refund. By the way the second one was a lot older than the first one. I ended up buying one on eBay, I’m glad I persevered.

cumple con lo que promete y verdaderamente supero las expectativas, lo recomiendo al 100, lo unico que le agregaria serian mas tutoriales para aprender a dominarlo y seria genial que para la aplicación se pudiera interactuar un poco mas como programar los efectos y poderlos acomodar en otra pestaña (mi punto de vista)

Look, it's a great price for what it does but it's very very digital sounding - there's no getting past it. I'm a kemper user and was hoping for a smaller gigging solution but really.. it's a toy. To be fair it's cheap enough.

Ho comprato questo cosino per curiosità, acceso una volta e poi buttato in un cassetto per quasi un anno... cercando una soluzione per i live l'ho ripreso e combinato con un MXR bass d.i. + per via dell'uscita xlr e per il tastino "color" che gli da quel suono pieno tondo e che dire... un muro!!!Uso 2 suoni per ora, uno distorto tipo Meshuggah e uno pulito con delay e chorus tipo Tool.Per l'uso che faccio io forse questo Mooerino da solo non lo potrei usare ma in combinazione con un altro pedale che aggiunge "la ciccia" viene fuori una bella cosa che funziona divinamente per i live!Promosso a pieni voti per il basso!!!

As others have notes the package seemed to have been opened when I got it.When plugging the unit into a charger it was just flashing and did not charge (despite the iOS app claiming battery charge it immediately died when removing the cable).Sent a mail to their support. Have not received and answer.
