I had a privilege to study under Professor LeVine and used his text book along with other materials for the course. The author is not just a law professor, not just a text book writer, but higher than that – he is an extraordinary man. I leave it to you to explore his credentials and life story. I am not here to talk about him, but to leave my comments of the text book itself. This text book was the easiest of all law text books that I have read in my three years in law school. It translated the dry UCC codes into plain English. It took out most of the code abstracts and replaced them with a practical story demonstrating how and where the codes are applicable. I read it with ease and enjoyment, and found it hard to put it down. I even smiled at times with the Stephen’s story in the book. Sounds weird for a law-code text? Do not take my word – try it for yourself and draw your own judgment. Any readers with an interest in the UCC would find this text book to be a road map into this area of law. If you are a business person trying to understand the UCC code, this book is probably the closest touch to the law that you are trying to understand. If you are a law student and run into proud classmates, who often subjectively think of themselves for their tall ability to read and understand the abstract codes, have them do this test. Ask these smart law students to read the codes, to give interpretation examples, then to compare their examples with those in this text book. These smart law students would be more humble after a few tries. For your part, if you are not another gung-ho law student, but would rather study this subject carefully to plan for a practical use down the line, then add this text to your stack whether or not it is required.

Law, accounting, and business students will find this book enables them to quickly and clearly learn how the Code works through the story's fact patterns ---- rather than stumbling through the cumbersome case method. I highly recommend this outstanding book to everyone seeking to know and understand the UCC.

The author did a great job at making a complex and rather boring topic both interesting and easy to understand. I highly recommend purchasing this book if you are interested in learning more about the UCC. It is a textbook that I will refer to regularly that explains the most important concepts of the UCC in a simple manner. The author writes a story in which certain sections of the UCC are applied to simple everyday occurrences that happen in business on a regular basis, which allows the layman to obtain a legitimate understanding. This is one of the best law books I have read simply because it is both highly entertaining and highly informative. Props to the author for this genius work.

It was a great book, I like how the author wrote it in different examples. But I wish it was more templates, better examples in our todays world to properly use the UCC Codes. Thank you 🙏🏾
