I bought this kit as a Christmas gift for my 11yo and neither of us were disappointed! This kit is awesome and the details that went into it to make it even better, like the how to video, was an excellent touch. Nicely put together with great quality.

The scalpel is actually great quality, which is weird to find in practice kits like this one. Great job here with the multi layers, it really gives a good idea on how the real tissue separates and has different textures as well, usually then you use these silicone kits you get used to a soft, stretchy material and nothing else so when the real world hits and you feel the real difference it freaks you out a little, so it’s good to have kind of a heads up. The quality of the instruments and the silk and nylon sutures, is great to be for practice, big companies typically give you whatever they have around because they know it won’t go in an actual person but that’s not helpful because you need to know how real things feel, so I’m giving this kit a 5 star review only because that’s the maximum, I would totally give this 10 stars, would buy it again no doubt

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Comes with a good assortment of sutures. The various pads allows me to practice different types of closure. The consistency of the “tissues” is pretty good, it’s quite a bit than live tissue, but serves it’s purpose well. The instruments aren’t premium quality, but again, i would not expect them to be and they serve their intended purpose well, and frankly, if you practice enough to suture well with these, when you have true medical grade instruments in your hands, it’s likely to feel easier.

In addition to your purchase, you receive an additional gift of mixed suture and free videos that walk you through different types of suture depending on the wound. The QR code did not work for me to request the gift and to view the helpful videos, so I emailed Artagia, and they responded within 48 hours with a solution. They mailed out my gift with tracking information, and it was received today. I feel the material is durable, which means you will have multiple uses. The thickness of the material is neutral and quite similar to human skin, and the tools and ease of use are comfortable.
