Yes this counts as reading!
Graphic novels are so great for kids who say they don't like to read, and when they’re Magic Treehouse stories, you just cant beat them. The plots hold kids’ attention, and the format is wonderful for both advanced early and slower older readers. As an elementary school librarian, I couldn't keep the original ones on my shelves, and now I have a grandson finishing K but reading at a second grade level who won’t put these graphic novels down. Hope the author will continue to convert the series to graphics so I can keep buying them for him.

Graphic novel reader
My 7 year old son is all about graphic novels, and I'm that mom that will buy all the books of a series if he is willing and eager to read them. These were a hit! They seemed to be pretty easy for him, but he enjoyed the story line.

So great your kid will want to finish them all ASAP
My 9 year old doesn’t like chapter books, so I got this set of graphic novels to read. They arrived yesterday and this morning he informed me he was up until 10pm sneak reading with his night light, and he got up at 6am to finish them. All four books. They are so good, your child will sacrifice sleep. He hopes the Titanic book will be next to turn into a graphic novel.

Nice books but the box is destroyed
I bought these for my son to get ready for kindergarten next year. The books themselves look great and are of nice quality but the box is practically destroyed. I'm a little disappointed in the handling of these books.

Future customer when series continues.
MTH is a cute series. My kids will only read graphic novels, and this series did not disappoint. I hope they make more of the series in the future.

Great series for kids who don't enjoy "reading"
Our family has read many of the Magic Treehouse Books in the past, which we've really enjoyed. It's the perfect combination of adventure and mystery that my kids love. However, I was looking for something a bit different to try and entice our 8 year old to do more independent reading after many complaints that she "just doesn't like to read".I finally stumbled upon the concept of graphic novels, and let me tell you, our reading journey has been much more enjoyable! Something about the words being broken up on the page in comic book format, and the pictures themselves - our 8 year old blew threw this particular series within two days. She was engaged, interested, taking the initiative. The best part is that this naturally came with reading comprehension, which was lacking previously. She was able to recall parts of the story in detail and tell me about it, without prompting.10/10 would recommend!
