i converted a v6 dyson animal to makita battery. Very easy to install, just remove the two screws from the existing battery, install this conversion and you got a dyson with a very long usage of the battery

I have a dyson v6 and ordered the adapter for the makita battery BL1815 and it does not work. The adapter fits the Dyson but It makes the power on the Dyson pulse. I removed the adapter and battery and reinstalled the original Dyson battery and it works . No pulsing

I have been using this for a few months now and no issues. I am completely surprised. Battery life is as good as the original for a 4ah pack. The original Dyson battery replacement has been out of stock now for a year on their website. Best option to keep the vac going.

My vacuum wouldn’t work if the Makita battery wasn’t fully charged. When fully charged, a 3Ah battery Lasted significantly longer the Dyson battery (maybe 10 minutes compared to 5). It died when the makita battery was about half drained. Probably worth it for the ability to quick change the batteries, but not amazing.

I’ve tried several after market batteries on my dyson, with mixed results in how they do. This adapter was a significant improvement over anything else after market. Best of all, it retains the original trigger function that you’ll lose on some other makita adapters out there.

So far so good.
