Good piece of kit for the Tool box

Great product ideal for those awkward cuts when laying laminate flooring or vinyl.

In many ways this is an improvement on the old pencil compasses, with the flat base riding nicely on the surface yout are scribing to. The aluminium frame is also nice and sturdy. The problem, for me, is that the arm simply isn't long enough for tasks such as scribing to steps on a skirting stringer. So can we please have an extension arm?

First time using this, great idea. I really like the carpenters pencil it came with.

Wanted to like this but have to say a compass is better. Had a difficult oak job with loads of scribes and went back to humble compass. The nut doesn't lock fully or tight enough so the pencil doesn't move . Then the short stubby point is awkward. I will jeep it in the tool roll but will stick with a compass .

Very nifty gadget to assist all sorts of laying out issues.

This is a handy tool the only gripe is the knurled screw to tighten the angled part is too SHORT to tighten up. I have use a pair of pliers to tighten the screw which it has spoilt it. If it was slightly longer to get your finger and thumb on it would work better. Other than that it is a well made device except for that. Shame.
