Finally! I have a few chef's knives and some other cheaper knives that had lost their edge over the years. After FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS to a T, my knives are all sharper than they were when I purchased them. As a bonus the knives hold their edge for months before I have to run them through the polishing section of this sharpener. It was going to cost me around 100$ to have my knives sharpened. I did it myself and now own a sharpener with an incredible warranty I can use anytime I need it. This unit is worth the price to me, and the results are better than I was expecting.

I had a "belt" type sharpener and just was not able to put the edge on my knives like I wanted. After reading over several reviews I chose this model. Read the directions, which helped a lot. Gave some great pointers. Following those, i was able to put a better than factory edge on my Wusthof knives. I then proceeded to use it on my work knives and pocket knives, Very impressed with the ease of use and how quickly it was able to put a quality edge on all my knives.

Works well. Draw the knife gently thru the guides. Allow the guides to orient the knife. The first time a knife is used with this machine, a lot of material will be removed from the edge. Took me 60 passes each side in the coarse stones. 5 passes in the middle stones. Plenty sharp for kitchen use. There’s grinding debris under the unit after use. Next time I’ll put a damp paper tower underneath the unit. Be gentle. Let the guides orient the knife. No children. Eye protection if you’re the careful type. Unplug after use. Stays warm otherwise.

Really nice to sharpen my knifes really quickly. Have to be careful because the placement on the handle of some knifes hits against the frame of the sharpener causing the very pack end of the edge to not fully sharpen. But all in all it re-sharpens the edge of my knifes really quickly and really well.

I followed instructions and was happy with results. I have good knives by Zwilling and haven’t been able to sharpen with my hand held diamond sharpener. Decided to try an electric sharpener and research led me to this particular sharpener. It worked great and happy I purchased it. Worth the money, good quality and easy to use.

I've struggled with unsharp knives for years. Sending out to a knife sharpener, waiting a week, they are sharp for a few weeks then dull fast. Bought all the manual sharpeners, have sharp knives for a few days then dull again. I thought this time I'll spend more for quality and glad I did. READ every step of the directions, they will guide you to sharpen the blade correctly. Great buy.

Wow - this does a very good job of quickly and accurately sharpening knives. I've used it for over a year now and I'm very pleased with it. This model is an update of my older Chef's Choice sharpener which worked fine but the new Trizor technology is a big step up.
