i want to put 2 over the air antennas into one cable, will a splitter do that, and will there be spoitter that will boost my single in the prosess?

You need a combiner, not a splitter. I have that setup already on my home and I had to get a special one that combines the signals and also allows power pas through to both antennas so you can put a pre-amp on each antenna.

Bidirectional? then why does 1 connector say in and 3 say out. shouldn't all 4 say in/out?

“Bidirectional” means that signals can go input —> output, or output —> input. But, you cannot go output —> output, so all paths are no equal. Almost all splitters like this are designed to isolate outputs from each other so that each device doesn’t hear crosstalk from another device. Is any of these compatible with the old screws in the back of an old tv I have and hooking up item like my vcr component which has the pushpins?

You'll need an adapter (transformer or balun) that goes from a 300 ohm ("old screws") to 75 ohm F-Connector (pushpins). You can likely find one at Home Depot or Lowes.
