Mounting Board Suggested.
There are 24 screws to install. That many screws and fasteners would make shredded cheese of the Sheetrock. Much sturdier to mount a board to the studs and the rack to the board. Easier too plus put it where you want it without the being bound to stud location.

Easy to install and works great
I bought two of these and ended up buying 2 more. I needed something to hang various tools in my shed vs keeping them on the floor or in the garage. I hung up shovels, hedging tool, rakes, string trimmer, axes, saws, and even a heavy item that is used to dig up the ground. One of the back plates has the brand name on it and this shows you which way is up and down, the back plate is not symmetrical. It is easy to slide the racks that hold the tools so you can adjust where you want the tool. The rack that holds the tools has two portions, upper and lower, so you can mount many tools on one rack

Well designed, easy to install. All parts to install provided. Can be installed without using studs. Very functional and versatile for various usage.

The space and length for attaching the track.
T he sections for holding lawn tools are 3ft long with channels that hold the hanging units. The units are hevey and are different shapes that offer choices for the tools you want to hang up. The track for the hangers is.adequate because it is in 3ft lengths. Directions for installing are good. Also included are plastic anchors and screws. Good buy.
