This entire series is perfect for a nature homeschool library or for any nature lover really. We love that they can be easily taken out for field learning. They are packed with all kinds of great information too. Worth investing in all the books like this.

I bought the rest of this series for my children after receiving the Birds book as part of their school curriculum. We love the information inside, pictures, and even a few projects for the kids to try!

This book is part of a nature series that is outstanding. The books are colorful with beautiful artwork and informative with the information presented in a simple manner, making it enjoyable for kids. Even toddlers will enjoy looking through them. It's very exciting for the kids when they recognize the little animals in their yard and know some facts about them.

Great book! There is an error on the cottontail page - saying they are rare in New England. The opposite is true! There are so many they have pushed out the native Massachusetts cottontail. Other than that error, it is a great book for kids (and adults! I never knew there were so many variations of rabbits and chipmunks!).

I love these guides. They are perfect for younger children who can't handle a lot of detailed prose. The sketches are charming, yet accurate. The information is geared to what a child might want to know, yet it is complete and it doesn't talk down to children.

Fun for my 7 year old grandson.

Love all of these. My seven year old grandson will read these cover to cover. Not as overwhelming as some other guides can be.
