Samsung Galaxy S8 Clear Protective Cover, Silver

The perfect thin Galaxy S8 case. Snaps on easily and gives some protection to all 4 corners, top and sides. Very thin case so easy to slip in and out of your pocket without the added bulk of a thicker case. Still shows off the really sharp design of this phone. Also, when the phone is laid screen down, the case is raised up just a tiny bit so that the screen does not touch the surface it is laid on. Material isn't really slick, but I haven't had any issues with grip. Haven't dropped it once, yet. Case wipes clean very easily. Because this is a thin case, it likely will not provide the major protection of these monster armored cases. But I'm confident the protection is a big step up from just going caseless. But what's the point of buying this beautifully designed phone if you're just going to cover the whole thing up with a big case. I wouldn't know this, but if my body was chiseled and I had great abs, I wouldn't put a hoodie on when I went to the beach. The biggest gripe about the S8 is the fingerprint scanner being located on the back of the phone, next to the camera lens. Without a case, and with some other cases I tried, it was difficult to locate sometimes without touching the camera lens and blurring that up. This case has a separate cutout for the fingerprint sensor, which is a great feature. It makes it really easy to slide your finger into the proper spot, without ever touching the camera lens. Designed by Samsung, you know you are getting a perfectly fit product, made with quality materials. The clear cut winning case for my Galaxy S8.

I like several aspects of this case. It is ultra slim and form fitting for the sleek Galaxy S8. The side panels are cut away for the ports and buttons, so you actually press the buttons directly. It affords very good scratch protection for the back and the majority of the sides, while also providing better grip for what is a pretty slippery piece of gear. On the downside, it only provides a minor amount of drop resistance as the edges are not well padded. If you are looking for the sleekest, form fitting case with a bit more grip, this is the one. Thus 5 stars. Personally, I opted for an i-Blasson case because I wanted to add more protection without adding too much bulk. It's not as pretty nor as light as the Samsung cover though. I do occasionally alternate between the 2 covers.

This case is perfect. It's slim and well made. The cutouts are nice and open so you can still touch the metal of the phone. The back is clear and has a glossy finish to it and feels somewhat similar to the back of the phone. The case does not add any significant bulk and does not make holding the phone uncomfortable. Feels like there's no case at all. Only issue is that dust seems to collect by the edges and the top and bottom of the case. Water has no issue getting into the case too. And when fingerprints collect, they looks really bad...even worse than on the glass of the phone itself. But this case still seems better than something from Spigen...which is surprising.

Excellent cover for the S8. This case is thin and fits perfectly to show off the edge design of the phone. It is clear enough to see the logos on the back of the phone, very cool, but not crytsal clear like some other cases that look rather tacky. It repalces a matt black Insignia case from BB that was also quite thin but wrapped up enough to break the curved lines of the screen. Protection is obviously not as good but it covers all corners, all of the top and most of the sides. It comes with a sticky screen protector which I didn't install.

I didn't want a bulky case like an Otterbox or an ugly case like the Neo Hybrid. This phone is too beautiful to cover up. This official Samsung case is very thin, very high quality, and offers some protection without ruining the phone's awesome design. I doubt it would prevent damage from a big drop but it's more than adequate for every day use and will keep the back from getting scratched up. I got the "black" one for my black S8 and it's perfect. Highly recommended.

To me, the main point of a case is to get some protection against drops. While the aesthetics are nice, and the separate cutout for the fingerprint sensor is great, the case didn't last a single drop, and then you're looking at $250-300 for a new screen or whatever your insurance deductible is for the phone. Also, this drop was directly on a protected corner of the case, so the plastic isn't enough to protect against a 3 ft drop one time on a corner fall. I guess we will be looking at a more robust and less pretty case for the future, after this very expensive lesson.

There are a couple of things I wanted in a case for my brand new Galaxy S8. 1. I want it to be as minimal as possible. 2. I wanted it to be polycarbonate vs TPU. 3. I want the fit and finish to be perfect. This excellent OEM case from Samsung seems to fit the bill. It is extremely thin, claiming to be .8mm, and is extremely clear. The material is polycarbonate and not sticky at all. And because its an official accessory from Samsung, the fit is perfect. IMO, the best feature of this case is that the fingerprint sensor is a separate cutout than the camera unlike a lot of other cases out there. This makes it so much easier to find the fingerprint sensor on the back. For $20, you can't go wrong with this case.

Decent case, if you have a screen protector. Unless you have device insurance, wouldn't recommend. Case is definitely a lot thinner than I expected. Cool looking minimilastic feel to it, not protective in the slightest, though.

Buscaba algo ligero y que obviamente brindara "algo" de protección a mi celular en caso de un raspón o caída. Es muy ligera, delgada, estética a mas no poder, justo lo que buscaba para mi s8. Eso si... no es nada pachoncita y no resistirá un golpe fuerte, mejor dicho, no amortigua nada el golpe, le va de lleno al teléfono, solo evita que el marco de metal del teléfono se marque de por vida, oh, y también es algo resbaladiza, atención con esto, puede que tardes un poco en acostumbrarte, y si lo pones en una superficie lisa, se mueve con facilidad por esa falta de "grip". Cuidado ! Pero todo bien, 10.

Thin but flexible, fits very well and looks really great on mobile.

As expected it obviously fits perfectly and it is so thin though tough. I bumped above my camera area on a counter accidentally and both the case and my phone were unaffected.

It fits nice and snug and very streamlined. Minimalist but also protective. I've already dropped my phone with this cover on it and it did the job. Very happy.

Excellent genuine cover for galaxy S8. Doesn't offer much in terms of protection but looks amazing. Develops scratches on rough use.
