Q: Is this bag water resistant?

Although the fabric used to construct our backpacks is water resistant and does an excellent job at keeping your belonging safe, the backpack is water resistant and not waterproof. If your pack will be frequently exposed to extremely wet weather, we can recommend that you purchase an aftermarket universal rain cover.

Q: Can this be used as a personal item and fit under the seat for flights?

Q: Will a tsa lock fit through the zipper pulls (removing the corded pulls) or are the zipper pulls too weak?

I do not know if a lock will fit as I've never used one. The pulls are quite strong and take a lot of abuse. The pulls are just over a quarter inch in diameter, however, you could only lock the large compartment. There are 4 other external compartments. I use mine as an under-seat carry-on.

Q: Will this be big enough for a 7 day trip to Europe?

Depends on your needs and style of travel. I don't think I can pull off a one week trip using this backpack as my only bag. It'll fit 2 changes of clothing + basic toiletries and a pair of shoes. So, if you do a wash every other day you may be able to pull it off. Good luck.
