You will be able to tell because the silica crystals get saturated. You will also be able to tell as well from the color of the silica crystal.Great odor control and cleaning, wiping my babies' litter box (Litter Robot) is so EASY. No sticky clumps of clumping litter. My babies love it. Has the same texture as the sand-like clumping litter but a lot lighter in weight. I can't say enough except try, love it and get the word out. Clumping has the sand texture, but sticks. The others seem to have the rough, irregular hard, sharp shapes.*****I have been using for 3-4 weeks.I love this litter and so does my furr baby!!!!! It is PURRRRFECT. Non-clumping and pretty much non-tracking. No order, it is soft, like the texture of most sand like clumping litters. I struggled with most clay litters sticking and very messy. Litter pearls only needs a simple wipe down after the empty and done. I use Pet Wet Wipes and they get the job done easily. Depending on how many furr babies you have will depend upon how ofter you empty. With one using the indoor potty box and one the outdoor, once every 2-3 weeks. Can I say it again, I LOVE THIS STUFF! What makes this litter perfect for Litter robot? Litter robot scoops the hard waist, and "stirs" the litter for you. I love this stuff!!!I did an indpendent review of a few silica litters at my own cost. No freebies. Other silica litters were chunky, hard and sharp and are a definite no. One from this brand was a clump version. I did not like it, it stuck to my litter robot sides. Very good litter, I highly recommend. Does a great job keeping odors down and the clumping one does a good job. Only slight nitpick I have is you'll definitely want to scoop fairly quickly otherwise it tends to solidify pretty strongly making scooping more difficult. I sometimes don't clean it as frequently as I should, but I find keeping on top of it makes it infinitely easier, as well as keeping the level pretty high if your kitty tends to dig deep like mine does.

This is the only cat litter I use now. I absolutely love how well it absords smells and urine, also easy to clean with a metal scoop and lasts about 2-3 weeks before needed to be changed.My only issue with it is it sticks to my kitties paws so they track it around the house. I have hardwood floors and walk around barefoot a lot so I constantly am stepping on these little pebbles around the apartment. I run my roomba to clear them out but I am finding some stuck in some hard to get corners or under the bed/couch where the roomba can't go.Last complaint is they don't seem that dust proof but it is definitely less dusty than most others I've used.Over all worth the 5 stars - try it out just make sure to mix your existing cat litter with it at first then slowly switch them to this fully.

I love this kitty litter so much, I buy it on Subscribe and Save! This product makes it easy to clean the litter box, and I can tell when it needs to be changed by the color. There's no odor, which is excellent, and it's not nearly as messy as regular kitty litter. Miss Emi seems to like it, too - bonus!

I am not new to using crystal silica gel litter, so I know there are certain things you need to do to maintain the box to get the most out the litter, like raking / stirring the litter several times a day and keeping the litter box out of humid areas of the house such as the bathroom. i did all these things and still the litter didn't stand up to what it advertises. Going to list pros and cons to explain :Pros:* almost dust free( there is a little when u first pour into the box)*micro crystals don't hurt my senior cat's paws like the regular sized crystals do and if you step on a stray crystal barefoot it doesn't send u to the moon in pain like the bigger crystals do.* great odor control until the crystals are full* great absorption, there was no urine pooling on the bottom of the pan like the pet safe crystals* surprisingly low trackingNow the Cons:'* Claims to last a month up to 40 days for 1 cat, NOT! I have been using the litter for 10 days and its ready to be replaced already! The entire bag has been used!* I accidentally ordered the micro fresh scented, instead of unscented, I kept it because the scent was actually very delicate and fresh smelling, not overly toxic perfume smelling like other litters, until..... One of the indicators that the litter was ready to be replaced is the scent gets 100xs stronger and slaps u right in the face when enter your house, its gross! My cat would no longer get in the box the scent was so strong!* claims the litter stays dry but this only lasted like 2 days, even with all the mixing i did the litter appeared to be wet and clumpy* Cost is wayyyy to high for the longevity of this litter! $25 plus tax and shipping for it to only last 10 days is ridiculous!!!!!Looks like I'm going shopping again. I was really hoping for better results, way to much to spend on something that doesn't perform as it says it will. My pockets aren't that deep for something that is literally thrown in the trash!
