Woodford 17CP-4-MH Wall Faucet CP Inlet, 4-Inch, Metal Handle

Over the winter I left my hose installed and with water. This caused water to leak in the spring when I opened the faucet. I twisted the faucet with pliers and was able to see where it burst. Measured the length to order the correct one. Then just twists right back in with some teflon. No more leak!

These woodford valves are awesome. Why? Because unlike the cheap brands they sell at the orange and blue big box stores, these actually last and if they break, they are repairable. This is my second one (for a separate water line). The other one I have had for 9 years with no issue whatsoever.

First on froze up because the garden hose was left on. Hopefully we learned our lesson. I think they offer an improved version to cover that but not sure of availability here or lengths offered. Over all its a great quality product… just don’t leave the hose attached :-)

seems like good quality also appears to be made in the USA..hope i'm correct.

Perfect replacement after my kids left the hose hooked up and it froze. Shut water off, removed 2 screws on front and unscrewed counterclockwise, added thread tape to the new threads and spun it on clockwise until tight, replaced the 2s Rees on the front and turned the water back on. Works great.

The model number was correct, so we received the right faucet. Yet the product specifications says this faucet is “14x4x3”. Thank goodness that wasn’t an inches-based measurement!

the product said it was 14 inches and was not. Not very clear discription of faucet. It was a 4 inch frost proof faucet. It would freeze up first freeing night in the North Country. woodford is a very good product. Ihad to send back and drive 60 miles to get a woodford 12 inch frost proof faucet.

This faucet was a direct replacement for the old one. Installing it was easy once I got the old one out. The new one didn't leak at all and even had more adjustment to it when turning the water on.
