A nice piece of kit, but a few things you need to know.
I purchased this unit in order to try and help me find the source of a leak in the ceiling near our fireplace. Our roof was replaced two years ago, and the job was nicely done, but the roofer (despite three repair visits to date) has been unable to find the source of the leak. The latest theory has been that the water has been migrating from a source not directly above where the leak is showing up. With this product, I have been able to confirm that this is in fact what has been happening. Water comes in from another area in the chimney/roof connection, migrates along a truss and then shows up several feet from where location of the interior leak.In any event, about the product: It arrived well packaged and with no damage. The instructions are simple but are obviously translated by a non-native English speaker . . . so a bit clunky. Pay close attention to where the "on" button is located. It has a separate "on" but for external lighting and this may lead to some confusion. When using the proper "on" button, you don't just press it. You need to press and hold for a second or two. The same thing applies when you turn the unit off. Failure to know this may lead one to believe they have received a defective unit, when such is not the case. The unit coms with a microSD card that needs to be inserted in the unit in order to take photos/videos of what it sees. It does not come with and SD Adapter for the microSD card . . . and you will want to have one if you are going to transfer photos to your laptop for printout. I particularly like that the probe has both a straight on and side camera. This was helpful in tracking down my roof leak. Working with the camera probe takes a bit of getting used to, since you are working in a small space and the image perspective shown on the screen is not necessarily what you are expecting; but you can easily change the perspective either directly from the camera controller itself or on your laptop after having transferred your photos there.

Cable is long and stiff, but functional.
Good product for the money. I’m using it as a bore scope,so cable is a little bulky and stiff. I’ll use it for other things like troubleshooting engines and drains, so the length is important for that. Pictures are good except the side view gets distorted as the cable turns, but that is expected. All in all, it seems to be a great product so far.

It let's me see.
This has two cameras. One forward. One side. Messes up my recognition alittle. I was using it to find a fuel tank leak in my pickup. Takes a it to get used to processing what you see. The side camera helps if you go past with the forward camera. If the side camera happens to be in the right place. The clarity of the image could be alittle better. It's still workable. Think I'll use on occasion. Don't know how the battery will hold up being stored in a colder climate. Time will tell. Charged it once so far. Used it multiple times totaling about an hour and the battery just started coming off full charge

Worth every penny!
Long story. Our part 135 and 145 in aviation terms, had a nice handheld Borescope unit which it’s out for service, with that said, I was in need of a unit ASAP!I have recently purchase from Matco tools a wi-fi Borescope to do and Aircraft intake inspection since the truck was at our shop…, which I wasn’t very happy with the quality of the image and the image froze a lot.Out of frustration I did a little more research in Amazon and found that this Borescope it’s 100% and a 5 stars better than what we have at our shop and any other leading tool brand out there. I was very impressed with the quality of the picture and battery life.If you’re a mechanic, a handyman and everything in between this is a most have in your shop!

Defective battery delivered with new unit.
First, it takes forever to charge the battery. Charges to less than full, then stops. Have to remove cable, reinsert and then it fills up a bit more. Took me 2 days to fully charge by repeating this process several times. After sitting in the case for a day and then taking it out to use it, battery showed half full, and then shuts off after two minutes - battery power gone. Don't know whether its a bad battery or the internal charging circuit is bad. Either way, the unit is useless.I've since replaced the battery that came with the unit. It appears to be charging correctly. If so, that means the new unit I received had a defective battery when delivered. I'm changing my rating to 3 stars. Once charged, if it works for more than 5 mintues, I'll repost.

Decent value for the money.
I’m not a professional by any means. I needed to inspect a vent pipe. Probably a task I will never need to do again. Decided to purchase this camera as opposed to renting one. Went down the pipe with minimal effort, had a great clear picture and seems water proof. It included a small hook and magnet for grabbing or recovering.

Stopped working after 1yr spent mostly in the box! charged and ready, but it didn't bring the ready
This thing worked originally, I charged it up every time it went back in the box to be ready for the next time. after a year of ownership and several uses/charges this thing has crapped out. I charged it for two days and it showed a full battery but it shuts off immediately after powering up. Goes through a power on and flashes the screen and craps out. This thing is junk and it doesn't look like its even sold anymore after a year

Money saving
I bought this due to a water leak that my plumber thought was coming from a drain within the slab. I end up making small pilot holes in the walls instead of cutting out several large holes. It took me a little bit of time but I was able to find the water leak, shower line. The best part of this is that I was able to record and show my plumber. A plumbing company wanted to come and pop large holes everywhere until they found it and charge somewhere around $9000 to find the leak and of course to repair everything.
