Great little flashlight for many uses
This flashlight is just like my Army issue one from 2003. It’s durable and high quality. It uses a normal bulb but there are lots if you want to switch it to an LED system. It provides enough light to easily see your tag and has a clip to attach to you or your gear. I like to use it when I’m hiking and am still on the trail after sunset. The included filters let you change the light color for whatever reason. The red filter is great for night use when you don’t want to draw attention or lessen your night vision.

Good light
Great flashlight, I would recommend getting the LED conversion build though, but keep the incandescent bulb if you want more concealment

Handy Angle Head Flashlight that works.
It works, it functions and is easy to use. The Morse code button also works as well but you need to slide the button to center and press the round button to function. I would recommend upgrading to LED replacement bulb to get brighter light and more efficient power use. As for my item I received one of the Gasket rings was broken by flashlight bulb glass area. Hence 4/5 stars. However I was able to replace it easily and put in a new LED bulb. If you are looking for a Vietnam era flashlight and want to convert it to LED bulbs this is the one.

Don’t Buy It
This thing is pure junk. The switch on the side is probably the cheapest, least capable switch I’ve ever encountered. In any dark situation, you need to be able to feel for the switch and turn it on. With this light, you’re lucky to get light after your tenth try, and every single attempt you make on this switch further warps, destroys, or otherwise renders useless the internal components of the switch. It should be simple, and I guess it is; just a metal tab that is actuated against a conductor to complete a circuit, but every time you move the switch, the internals shift or bend or just don’t work. This light would be good if you immediately replaced the switch with an actual spst toggle, but I didn’t buy this flashlight as some engineering project. This light is garbage. It’s unreliable and cheaply designed.

It's a wash.
It's finnicky and fiddly, but it somewhat works I guess. Bulb isn't too good and the second one is pitiful, but it does what I want it to so it's kind of a wash.

Cool, just like I remembered.
The one I had as a kid was metal, this one is plastic. No problem, just wanted it for nostalgic purposes, but it works. Two “D” batteries, and it’s not very bright, but, they’re not meant to be. Just light your way, not show up the valley. But very durable feeling, I like the extra space molded in for the extra lenses, nice feature. Overall, I’m very pleased with it and for under $15, great value.

These old style flashlights are simply the best, most durable flashlight available only here on amazon. They work every time and I even made a continuity tester out of one of these. Simply great flashlights. Solidly made and durable. Modern flashlights are junk and crap that shine loud, cost lots and stop working fast too. They fill recycle sites everywhere. Crazy world thinks they invented better but NOT!

Just a beautiful shape that is not suitable for fragile use, it is clearly a commercial industry.

La calidad del plástico es mala, hay que tratarla con cuidado, es frágil. Es para uso casero. No la recomiendo para acampar.
