Rancilio Silvia Chrome Group Cover

This piece is all plastic and the "chrome" starts to peel within 2 years. The rest of the machine is high quality stainless steel with prosumer insides. To keep your machine looking great you must replace this part every few years. To re-place it you need to take a look at the You Tube video, but it's not that hard. One video says there are 4 screws and the 2 in the front that are hard to get. Don't go with that. There are really only 2 screws.

This is a plastic part with a chrome-like coating.... just like the original part whose chrome coating was beginning to peel off. Requires significant disassembly of the coffee machine to install but makes the machine look new again. Would be nice if someone offered a real metal version of this cover.

I believe this is an original OEM part.If not it is exactly the same.Easy - two screw replacement.You need a long Phillips screw driver. Screws are below front side the boiler. Just take the top off to access the screws.

just what we needed to replace out old cover because the silver coating had peeled away. It took a bit of work to get it changed out but looks beautiful again.

Spruced up our 8 year old machine. Not hard to install if you can follow directions and operate a screwdriver.

I thought this piece was metal. Chrome description is misleading, it's cheap plastic. Poorly made with rough edges. Certainly not OEM and not worth $35.00.

Not durable

Chrome plated plastic is predestined to wear out before the machine. This is our second replacement in 10 years.
