How do you use the keep warm feature

You just press the “keep warm” button, then the button for the temperature you want then press start, and after boiling it will then keep warm at that temperature for around half an hour before it turns off.

About 17 inches from the base to the plug

Does the kettle only fit on the base the way it’s shown, ie handle on the right?

It's a 360° base. You can place it any direction.
