Nice look, light weight (but sturdy), does the trick!
I wanted something that would decrease the drafts on the sides of the windows and these do the trick. The internet has scores of diy'ers using pipes for that purpose; while I do like that look, I don't like the weight of the pipes. I use quilts on my windows/storm doors in winter (very drafty, 225-year old farmhouse), and the idea of pipes and quilts on plaster walls made me nervous. These are lightweight and I really like the look and bronze coloring. I can also remove the curtain rings I use, without having to unscrew the flange from the wall (by pushing the middle bar to the side). The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the 'lip' on the middle bar. The rings get caught on it every time I want to open or close the curtain. Annoying, but I prefer that to heavy pipes on my plaster walls.
