I am the perennial skeptic. I am usually suspicious of products making claims it can "do this", "restore that" and so on. I was delighted to find that Wolman's Deck Brite worked exactly as advertised. My deck is pressure treated pine, in New Jersey and is exposed to sometimes harsh winter and a good amount of sun and rain.....and 21 years old. I do keep it protected by cleaning every year (scrubbing) and power washing every other year, and the past few years I have coated it with Wolman Cedar semi-transparent stain.Since I like the stain I decided to try DeckBrite. Nothing is a miracle in a jar. If your deck is 8-10, or 21 years old, nothing is going to make the wood look brand new. But this does a very good job of cleaning it. You can of course go the extra step of using a cleaner then a brightener. This product is NOT the two steps combined. It is simply a good cleaner.It mixed as advertised. Add the white granules to lukewarm water and they immediately turn blue. Then you have to stir it for several minutes until you see the water become just about clear (it looks slightly cloudy when you are done mixing). I made the mistake of using my garden hose so the water was cold and it probably slowed by mixing.I used a basic 2 gallon garden sprayer to apply the mixture. Following the directions and keeping it damp, I left it on for about 10 minutes per section.It absolutely removed much of the weathered look, including a couple of difficult stains (BBQ grease).I don't feel I had to use an inordinate amount of elbow grease to scrub it, and rinsing was simple. I actually rinsed with a hose as my power washer decided today was a good day to go south on me.Coverage is good - and as advertised - and I cleaned my whole deck, (about 200 square feet, plus railings and two full sets of stairs, TWO passes, with much less than half a containerOverall, I think this product is inexpensive and works well. You can probably get similar results with bleach and a cleaner and baking soda, but this avoids the smell, as well as the issue of spilling bleach on your plants or any deck furniture.PS - I also used some of the solution on my old sling deck chairs and it cleaned them quickly and easily with just a hosing off.

I’ve compared this to two other wood cleaning/ stain removal products and this one is the best ever. I have used it for years and recently the big box store in my town stopped carrying it, likely due to profit margins. I found this on Amazon and I’m happy that Amazon carries the product.Does a fantastic job on my wood deck. Yes, you have to scrub some but it’s definitely worth the effort.Excellent, excellent, excellent!

This is in my opinion the best product on the market. You won’t be disappointed. Just follow the instructions.

I didn’t give 5 stars because it’s a lot of work, but I have to say the deck looks great. Huge amount of dirt came off. The tricks are: get a timer, do this when the weather is overcast otherwise it dries up too quickly, I applied to deck with deck brush on handle, rinse lightly with hose and then go back in and rinse with power washer (no matter how much you hose off there seems to always be soapy bubbles and it makes you crazy), do one section and see how big you can handle in the 20 minutes, don’t bother saving opened jar it does not keep. Does not hurt plants or lawn.

I was skeptical that this would work because the chemicals are pretty benign. We have a mahogany deck that is 11 years old and has never had any stain, sealer or treatment of any kind. The house is next to the ocean, so the salt air will turn the deck gray, which is fine, but the humidity also leads to mold and algae.We used this product and the deck looks much, much better. It could probably benefit from another treatment, but we are too lazy. Will hit it again first thing next summer. I expect that using it every several years after that will be very adequate. We considered power-washing, but that actually removes wood. Someone told us to use regular bleach, but we didn't want to kill grass and plants. It does take some scrubbing as others mentioned, but not a huge effort.

This product made the wood of my deck look like new again before I stained it. I would HIGHLY recommend to someone else and I would use it again. Cleans out dirt and anything than may grow

This is a great product. But, don't be fooled. Spay it on wait 10 minutes then scrub with a stiff brush before rinsing with a low pressure power washer. I blended weathered 20 year old cedar with one year old cedar, and brand new cedar together on a deck. You can't tell which is which. I tried several other "deck rejuvinators". This is the only one that worked. I did have an excessive foaming issue inside the tank sprayer I used. It was irritating to deal with. I dumped the thick foam into a 5 gal bucket and used it to clean the deck brush.

I had tried several methods of cleaning cedar siding and cedar decks; none of them worked.Wolman DeckBrite was easy and quick to use and it did the job.I have already recommended it to several friends.
