I know it says it fits only one tea kettle but would it maybe fit a Kammenstein vintage black cat tea kettle

I am not sure if it will work with your kettle but the diameter of the pc. is 3/4" and the flat tube that fits inside is 7/8" . If your kettle is the right size it might be worth a try. It will have to be a tight fit so the whistle works. Hope this might help.

What is the measurement at the base of this whistle?

diameter inf the part going inside the kettle is about 1.8 cm and is held in place by a sping (good quality)

what are the dimensions of this item?

The part out of the kettle is 4 cm tall and from wing tip to wing tip also 4 cm. The bottom part the goes into the kettle "pip" is 2.5cm long (about 1"). The diameter of that part is about 1.8cm and fits perfectly into the kettle.
