The book was very interesting with lots of unexpected twists and turns.

The saga is to do with the seductive power of a much loved family chateau, in Burgundy, France, It demonstrates clearly the destructive power of family secrets. Love, bitterness, deceit and war are dramatic features of the story. The characters are consistently and graphically portrayed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in record time. A wonderful story and quite the best I have read for a long time
