A solid, traditional wet-install screen protector
I have been putting wet-install screen protectors on my devices for many years, ever since I saw the folks at ZAGG take the material normally used on the leading edge of helicopter blades and put it on a device to protect it. Needless to say, I've gotten pretty good at installing wet-install screen protectors. ZAGG kinda went sideways for a while with their screen protectors, and their wet-install process did, too, but this isn't a review about ZAGG. ArmorSuit has kept the original, traditional wet install process and it works. It produces a smooth, clean install that is virtually invisible. In the case of this one, for the S22 Ultra, the screen protector is literally perfectly cut. It is a "case-friendly" screen protector, and that means that if you put a case on your device after you put your screen protector on, the case won't peel up the corners or the sides of your screen protector. I use two different cases on my device, one clear case from Spigen, and one matte black case from dbrand. The matte black case comes down a little lower on the sides of the device, so when I'm wearing that case, I can actually feel the edge of the screen protector when I swipe in from the edge. But I'd rather have that than have the screen protector be too big and the case cause it to peel. When I'm wearing my Spigen case, it comes up a little higher on the sides than the dbrand case, and I can't fee the edge of the screen protector at all. Literally a perfect fit. There are no issues with either the touch digitizer or the fingerprint reader. There is no need to increase the sensitivity of either; they both work flawlessly. And as long as you are careful not to gouge the screen with the S Pen, there are no problems using the S Pen either. And as an added bonus, the screen protector provides a small amount of "resistance" when using the S Pen, and so writing on the screen actually feels more natural and more like paper than without a screen protector in place. Actually I think Samsung could address this with some extra tips for "with" or "without" screen protectors, but now I'm into wishful thinking territory. I bet there's a small market out there for replacement nibs for the S Pen to make it feel a little more natural when writing on glass... Anyway, I'm not worried about damaging the screen protector, because ArmorSuit includes *two* screen protectors in their package. So if you do happen to harm your screen protector with some overzealous S Pen writing, you have a second as a replacement. Score! If you are a fan of wet-install screen protectors as I am, this is your product.

10 times better than the sticky kind and the unattached kind
Update: i left this review in April 2018. I just (dec 2020) replaced the screen protector again because I dropped the phone hard on gravel last year, and the resulting scratch/gouge was too hard to see the keyboard shift key through for my elderly dad (who was getting my hand-me-down). Just as easy as before. The screen was in perfect condition. ... This is a paid full price, found all on my own, NOT fake review. I use my phone 12-14hrs a day, and the only scratches were from some serious drops. Of which there were many. This held up great. I've used it on 3 of our family phones with great success. This is not the screen protector I wanted. I wanted the one step sticky kind that I know is impossible to get all the bubbles and dust out, but good enough for me. I couldn't find that. And I know I'll never be able to use a tempered glass one anymore because of curved screens on new devices( who thought that was a good idea???). So I gave this one a try. I was really nervous because this one sounded like a pita to apply using "the wet" method. But OMG it was way easier than those sticky ones ( where you had to waste one or two before you even got one good enough to work). Just spritz, apply, and smooth. In a house with six pets I was able to get the screensaver on with only one tiny speck of dust. And after leaving the phone sit for the required amount of time, that speck is practically invisible - no annoying bubble like you get with the sticky kind of screen protector! And if it's not perfectly in place, you can easily slide it around a bit before it dries. I will never go back! I accidentally set the Dremel tool down today before it stopped spinning and it spun onto the top of my new phone 😯. I almost had a heart attack. The protector has gouges all the way up the side. Pealed up the edge with drywall dusty fingers, and not a single scratch on the screen itself!!! Better yet, I took the spritz bottle out and spritzed the dusty underside that I had peeled up, wiped it with a lens cleaning cloth, and pressed it back down. Other than the Dremel tool scratches, you can't tell it's been futzed with at all. If you peel the sticky kind up even once, you're out of luck - you have to start over with a new one. Appearance-wise it looks like I don't even have a screensaver on my phone. Texture wise it's the perfect combination of not too slippery and not too sticky. If you're looking for slick as glass or ice, I would say this is slightly more tacky feeling than that. The downside is you have to let it sit undisturbed for 12 hours after applying. We'll, yer SUPPOSED to anyways. I make it about 15 minutes before I'm like "ehh - it's good". I have no patience, so fortunately it's very forgiving My husband has a screen protector that came with this case, and just hovers above the screen. We both hate it so I just bought him one of these. I can't talk about the longevity because I've only had mine for a few weeks or a month now, but so far totally worth it! That's saying a lot given I'm REALLY picky.

Not very thick
I bought this because the usual brand TPU protector I use seems to have changed their formulation (slippery surface wearing off leading to fingertip skipping while swyping, protector sliding around the phone screen). The ArmorSuit protector's wet application process goes on significantly more easily, is easier to align, and its easier to remove dust and debris you spot during the application. So far its surface is holding up well for viewing and swyping. I will update if the surface deteriorates. I have a few concerns which prevent me from giving it 5 stars. - The protector's cut is not quite centered. I lined it up so the notch for the selfie camera was perfectly centered on the camera. The protector covers most of the curved left edge, but almost none of the curved right edge. - The protector barely covers the curved edges of the S22 Ultra screen. I realize they do this so a wrap-around case will not push the protector up at the edges. But there's about a 1mm gap between the case and protector on the left side, and a 2.5 mm gap on the right side (it barely goes down the curved edge). They could have made it bigger without encountering issues with cases. It's particularly annoying since I have gestures enabled, so back arrow is swiping in on either edge. The left side is OK, but every time I swipe in on the right side (with my finger riding up the edge of the case) my fingertip catches on the edge of the protector. - It is substantially thinner than the other brand TPU protector I used to use. Unfortunately I threw the old one away so I can't measure it. But the ArmorSuit protector seems to be about half the thickness of the old one. This is important because if you drop the phone face-down on a rock, a glass protector absorbs the impact energy by shattering. A TPU protector absorbs the energy by deforming. If it's thinner it can't deform as much, so more of the impact energy gets transmitted to the screen. Increasing the chances it will shatter. I would consider this to be more of a protector to protect against scratches. Not against drops. I'm mulling over replacing it with a tempered glass protector for this reason. Otherwise it's been performing well so far. The surface is clear and smooth with minimal texture or rippling. The fingerprint scanner works fine (I didn't even need to re-enter my fingerprints). And swype typing is smooth.

Again a long time fan, with a minor glitch along the way
Update January 2019 Product continues to be reliably impressive. Got one for my wife's new iPhone XS Max, still easy to apply, and great results! First time applying to a phone with such a big screen, but the same great results. ------------------------------- Update 6/22/2018 Customer service was awesome, as it has always been. They sent a replacement and everything worked like a charm like it did before the last one. I'm going to chalk it up as I just happened to get an outlier that was defective. The new one works just like all the other ones I had purchased before. ------------------------------- 4/26/2018 Over the last three years, I've sworn by this product for my phones, my wife's and my kids. Originally for my Samsung S6 Edge, then for kids and wife's iPhone 5s (twice because one of my kids cracked their screen and I had it replaced and bought another screen protector), a Samsung S5, and two iPhone 6's. All were great. Awesome! Easy to install, great results. Even my 3 year old Samsung S6 Edge still looks great) I just got and installed the latest for my newest Samsung S9. Surprise, I am disappointed so far. It was harder to apply than for my S6 Edge. I thought given how easy it was for the S6 Edge with the curved screen edges , the S9 should be just as easy. But the edges tended to come off on the S9, and there are a lot more bubbles. I've never had this on any of my other Armor screen protectors. I am so surprised. I'm going to give it a day and see if it improves. If not, ArmorSuit has always had great reputation for customer service and stood behind their product, so I will give it a shot with them if it doesn't improve.

Used to be the best screen protector around
After getting tired of the brittle tempered glass screen protectors that crack when you sneeze, I opted to give ArmorSuit screen protectors a try. At first, I was enthusiastic fan, using them exclusively over the years for all my family’s devices. Recently, I have had some troubles with the application process. On my last two applications, I ended up with tiny lint bumps or bubbles under the screen, though I don’t understand how. I am a freak about having a lint and dust free environment during application the process. I take painstaking efforts to clean my phone with eye glass cleaner and microfiber cloth then I use a Dust Off can to remove any dust or lint from the phone screen. I also make sure that my surrounding work area is also lint and dust free. Before application there is no lint or dust on the screen, however, when I apply the screen as instructed, I end up with tiny bumps under the screen protector. You can actually see the little fibers under the screen. In addition, the screen protector does not dry clear leaving behind smudge marks that cannot be cleaned away. The defects are definitely located underneath the screen protector. I hate the way it looks. I even went through the hassle of buying another one at additional cost to me, but the end result was the same. On the second purchase, I shook out the microfiber cloth that came in the box and little fibers flew everywhere, which is counterproductive to the application process. In any case, I made sure the screen was clean before applying the screen protector and I still ended up with a bumpy screen. I also had difficulty getting the edges to lay down on my screen. They kept popping up. I am not sure how much protection ArmorSuit offers for the Galaxy S9 as it does not appear to cover the entire screen edge to edge. It’s the edges that need the most protection. Needless to say, I am done with Armor Suit. The end result used to be worth the application hassle, but not anymore.

pack of 2, 1 with imperfections the other one is perfect
So, I purchased this a while back and it held up well for the price and decided to use it on my new phone. Easy to install if you watch the video but there is no way to hold it in place while your squeezing the liquid off and when your squeeze the liquid on the lower part it would go in the charging port so you need a small cloth there to absorb the liquid and block it from going the in charging port. These are not why I put 3 stars on them though. I bought 3 sets of these for different phones. The 1st set I used for my phone and noticed an imperfection. At first I thought it was some dust that got caught while I was installing so I pealed it and tried to get that dust off but it wasn’t dust it was actually an imperfection which looked like a small tear on the protector. Well I guess it was just isolated and I got one bad one. Then for the next two sets I also encountered the same thing. 1 with no imperfection and the other one was perfect. It might not bug other people but I’m kinda OC about it since you can notice it even when the screen is on. Hope they’re not trying to match bad sets with good ones just to get rid of them. You might be lucky and put on the good one first and since it will last you might not get a chance to put on that bad one but you got 1 bad one and a perfect one like my review and we might see if its reoccurring. Still it’s a good screen protector overall.

Consistent, tough and worth it
I’ve been using Armorsuit wet‑apply screen protectors for years, and they’ve honestly saved my phones more times than I can count. I drop my phones constantly — on rocks, concrete, and usually from heights that make me wince — and I’ve never had a cracked screen while using this protector. The durability alone makes it worth it. Installation is straightforward as long as you keep the surface wet so you can slide and align it perfectly. Once it’s positioned, it settles smoothly without bubbles, and the kit includes everything you need to get a clean install. I’ve applied these to multiple phones in my household, and everyone here uses Armorsuit now because it just works. The lifetime replacement is ok . Your still get charged shipping. Honestly, I could’ve just bought a new one here for a few dollars more, but the protector performs so well that I didn’t mind. If you’re rough on your phone or just want reliable protection without the hassle of glass protectors, this is the one I kept coming back to and now I don't even try out any others

It was easier to install than it looked
First, I will say that I delayed installing this wonder-product (I purchased it because of the reviews) because of the box and the contents. One glance at all of the items included and I figured it would require some thought and time. So, one night I finally buckle down to tackle it. (Waited until night, because the instructions say it's best to leave it over night for 6-8 hours.) There were instructions, but the first thing I read was a link to a website. I decided to watch the video. The steps went a little fast, so I did have to pause it, then go back a couple of times to make sure I didn't miss a step. However, a few minutes later, I had it on and was onto the smoothing step, easily. It went a lot smoother than I expected and the results are amazing. I can barely tell that it is on there and it adhered flawlessly. No bubbles. The edges did stick up a tiny smidge, but spraying both sides to rewet and smooth it down again worked. Just to make sure, I used a blow dryer (as suggested in written instructions) on low heat and applied light air for about 30 seconds, smoothing the edges down with my thumb. No problem. It's now finishing to set for the final hours, but it already looks perfect. I can barely even tell it's on. And the best part - no fingerprints! Call me a stickler, but constantly wiping fingerprints drives me bat crazy at times. With this film (which is perfectly transparent, by the way), I don't have to wipe them away. Time will tell how this holds up - and after I drop it. But so far, it looks great. And, it was easy-peasy.

Wet application fine but lack in quality and gloss/ glare so bad
The pack included 2 screens with all you need for fitting. Works good if you have the S22 Ultra in a case. Easy enough to fit, but not enough liquid for the second screen supplied. However, the first screen had a imperfection in the screen itself. In addition this screen protector is so glossy that its hard to see your screen in sun AND every , every fingerprint, smug is so prominent and visible (much, much more as on my H9 protection screens I had before)- its real bad... you have to clean/ wipe your screen various times a day. Therefore I would not buy again.
