My shoes last much much longer. My everyday work shoes are now $125 per pair. Some experiments with fastening, what seems to work best is rough toe area with fine wire wheel on a grinder. Stick toe guards on then with hand inside shoe lightly tap all over with a hammer. This method seems to last the longest maybe 3 or 4 months. I did try contact cement with some success. Wax on the shoe can interfere with glue. I believe the glue is the same a mouse glue traps. Regardless the toe guard do come off after a while.

Adhered to the boots perfectly, unfortunately, the 3M VHB did NOT stay stuck to the gaurds it was already applied to from the factory.

I got these did my son who works in a tire center. He uses his toe to hold up tires and drags his toe when he kneels down to do repair and work near the ground. His shoes would be two weeks old and the toes were already worn out. So we went from using just shoe goo to putting a protective layer of shoe protector compound and using shoe goo to glue these toe protectors on. They work great! Use shoe goo to glue them onto the shoe because the glue that comes with does not work as well. After putting the toe protectors on I used packing tape to hold them snug onto the shoes for 24-48 hours to let the shoe goo dry. They have stayed on for about two months so far with no problems extending the useful life of his shoes exponentially. Needed a little regluing once on a section but that was easy enough.

These are great and better than the cement ones I bought that fell off. These adhesives have not fell off for me. Also as the edges a very clear adhesive works well too so no water goes in… the edges are slightly not sealed . (A Exterior (window/home) adhesive that is very clear works)

Bought these thinking it would extend the life of my boots. The cap does fit the boot properly, but the sticky material does not stay. Using multiple sets on multiple boots they are lucky to stay in place for more than 15-20 minutes.

I used to wreck my shoes after a month and I'd patch them with duct tape. Driving tow trucks is not easy on them. The toe area would rip and have a hole in it. These greatly have extended the usefull life of the shoes. Lasted 6 months until other parts of the shoes wore out. The glue provided kept the main part intact but the sides have come unglued after use. The glue stayed on the shoe and kept it held together so it still protected the shoe well.

Love the product apart from them not sticking onto the shoe, need to provide glue. Now going to cost me to buy some super glue :(

Absolutely the worst bunch of crap I've ever seen immediately after applying taking all precautions cleaning the shoe slightly stuffing for adherence almost immediately search peeling up when walking. Save your money! Zero out of a million!!
