Great book for the Traverse City area
We rented a house on Big Platte Lake a bit west of Traverse City and found this book very helpful on our family trip. It had great suggestions on things to see and do, especially with kids. Please note that this little book is a "subsection" of the big Moon Michigan book; the information is duplicative--so you only need to buy one or the other since the information on the Traverse City area and Mackinac is the same.

Book was written/published more than 7 years ago so most information is completely out of date.

Duplicative of other book on Michigan
This is the exact same material as is in the Moon book on Michigan. Buy one of them but not both.

Not Fodor's
This was a good travel book, but being a Fodor's fan, I have to say that it doesn't compare. It is adequate enough and served our purposes well though.
