Adding a SubstrateSource Echinodorus peruensis Sword to your freshwater aquarium helps create a natural look for your tank. This plant is known for it's bright green color and bold appearance. As it grows, this plant helps purify your water by absorbing nitrate nutrients. This plant can be grown with moderate light fully submersed under water. We like to position our Swords towards the back of the aquarium where they can take advantage of deeper substrate and grow out to their full potential as a background plant. Potted plants are grown in 2-inch slotted or mesh plastic pots. The pots are made out of recycled plastic. Potted plants are grown without soil in rockwool media. The rockwool media allows the plants to grow in a clean, soil-free environment, ready to ship. To prepare your plant for the aquarium, first gently remove the pot. SubstrateSource Plant Guide: A plant guide is included with this plant. The guide contains brief care and illustrated setup instructions specific to this plant.

Good foliage
The colors were a little light greenish. But maybe with time they will get more green. The condition was really good, many leaves and good bouquet of them. No damage really, just one or two brownish turning leaves, I cut them off. They seemed pretty clean, I rinsed them anyway before putting them in the tank. I would purchase again.

Good product, good company
Good product. Arrived almost a week earlier than expected. It was packaged so well and sustained minimal to no damage during shipping. It’s a good size. I took off a star because after removing near-death leaves and broken stems, mine appears to have fewer leaves than the ones in other reviews. The leaves I removed had some suspicious little growths.

Not A Good Plant Life For My Tank
Mostly arrived in bad shape. Only 1 or 2 leaves or still alive. Will promote plant life with plant food. Hopefully will grow better in the future. However I'm a beginner. Will keep you all posted.Chi Ori

good purchase
In the past I've bought aquatic plants from various online retailers as well as LFSs with mixed (and often poor) results. I bought three different plants from Substrate Source, almost two months ago, and all the plants look fantastic! Very little die-back, and they all seem to be thriving. The plants arrived well-packaged, very healthy, and with good instructions. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and Substrate Source is now my go-to for aquarium plants. Although they're pricier than some others, the quality and the size of the plants I received make me wish I'd done all my shopping here from the beginning.Of the three plants I bought together, the Amazon sword is the least best (well! I don't want to say "worst" -- sounds too negative for what it is). It looks fine and is growing new leaves all the time, it just doesn't seem *quite* as happy as my other two plants. But I'm still really happy with it.

Mehhh
Lots of yellow and dying leaves. I ordered two sets. They did have about 6 plants per bundle. Did have a warmer pack in package, it was cold. After adding to my tank they melted. Thats kinda expected but I didn’t expect them to look so miserable straight out of the package. I have 3 plants per bundle that I think will make it. Buy at your own risk. I’ll go back to buying from my local fish store.

Good plants
Arrived with a couple leaves broken, but that's what the seller described. All but 2 leaves were nice and green. Stems were nice and strong. The roots weren't frustratingly intertwined in the cloth weights. And most importantly, my angels seem to be enjoying them.
