Leap (Heather Grace Stewart Poetry)

Canadian poet, Heather Grace Stewart, writes lovely poems about modern life. Her poems have a rare beauty all while being sensual and wise. What I especially loved about this collection of poetry was the inclusion of her photographs. I also found many poems to love. I liked "Air" as it spoke of a beautiful comfort and "Paths" reminded me of what is important. Some of the poems speak of the realities of online life like tweeting and posting on facebook. A few poems have really beautiful endings and some of the poems represent very sensitive feelings. There is a pinch of politics, a dash of laughter and a cup of poignancy. I was pleased to read that half the proceeds from the sale of this book will go to UNICEF's Gift of Education Project. I think that is wonderful.~The Rebecca Review

This is a beautiful and thought-provoking collection of poems. Heather writes with great insight, humour and genuine heart, touching on topics of love, loss, and childhood innocence with wisdom and maturity beyond her years. Spring Walk, Beautiful Chaos, and Lessons from a Child are gems among many which serve to remind us to stop and smell the roses, and to delight in simple pleasures. A real treat to be served with a cup of warm tea!
