Joan Snyder

I absolutely love this book. I like the anecdotal text and I love the pictures. But then I'm a big fan of Joan Snyder. I think the book does a good job of conveying her earthy and feministic approach to art. She is and was an innovator and progressive.

I saw this book in my dentist's office and had to have it. I met Ms. Snyder some years ago and was familiar with her work; this book is a treat, with Herrera's research and commentary of Snyder's life and background adding a great deal to the obvious - energizing, unique art.
