How these work - most helpful review
This seems to be a perfectly fine product that is a valid replacement for the Honda oem pcv valve. There is lots of confusion and misinformation here, so I hope my review is helpful. The pcv valve is supposed to be a one-way valve that allows positive crankcase vapors and pressure to be routed into the air intake and be subsequently burned in the combustion chamber. There are two openings on the valve: the holes in the middle of the valve, and the openings in the small, tip end. There is a spring loaded piston in the valve such that air should only pass from the middle holes through to the tip end.If you can pass air both directions then the valve is no longer good (which is how my oem valve was). If you cannot pass air from the middle holes through the tip end then the valve is blocked and likewise no longer good. I was surprised how hard I had to blow (about as much or a little more than starting to inflate a party balloon) to get air to flow through the valve, but I didn't engineer this part, so I'm not the judge of whether the difficulty is proper or not. It is a new part, so I'm going to assume it is as it should be.As I note in my pics, the middle holes are for the portion of the housing on the engine valve cover. Crankcase gas in the valve cover enters the middle holes of the valve, goes past the spring loaded piston in the valve, and then exits the tip end to go through the hose into the intake manifold.THERE ARE NO LOOSE PARTS IN HERE. People saying the thing is possibly defective because they couldn't sense any parts rattling are conjecturing. Maybe that's the case for other pcv valve designs, it is not the case for this one.The o-rings on this valve and the fitment in its hole are perfectly fine. This valve snapped into place as I installed it, indicating the o-rings did have to compress to get the valve inserted into its hole. This did NOT fit any looser than the oem one I removed. On my 05 Odyssey access to this valve is straight-forward with enough room. Maybe on the MDX the angle and available space are a pain, not so on my car.

Perfect fit on a 2009 Honda Pilot....but LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE
This fits perfectly on a 2009 Honda Pilot with the 3.5i VTEC with 200K. It's located just behind the oil fill cap. One 10mm bolt. Easy enough. My big mistake..... The valve didn't want to work its way out, so I took a screwdriver to pry on it a little. I broke the top right off of it. I ended up having to unplug the ignition coils and several other plugs, then removed the front bracket that hangs over all of this. I took a large tap from my die/tap set and threaded into the plastic (tube) that was left of the broken PCV which gave it enough grip. I then had to slowly work and pry the piece out of the engine. A lot of work for a 5-minute job. All said and done though, the engine runs great.

Cleared my check engine light
This did the trick. Had check engine light throwing a P0420 code related to cat bank 1 and I was burning a lot of oil. Not anymore!Have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with 190k.

Worth every penny
This is a perfect fit for my 2008 odysey. My van was burning oil and Honda gave me an estimate of $3800+$135 diagnostic fee for Cylinder head and seals replacement. Luckily I watched a vidoe of Scotty Kilmer and found that PCV valve is most common cause of oil burning. It was a cheap fix so I thought yo give it a try. Mechanic took $20 for labor and $22 for parts. To my surprise, it worked and saved me $$$$. It's been more than a month and my can is due for it's 5000 oil change and di checked dipstick and it's to the level.

Came apart in two pieces
I received it today, went to install it and I was inserting it and the top half just came off. The bottom half was stuck in the port. I thought this would be a decent brand, since its literally the same brand and part number sold by AutoZone. Suffice to say, I initiated a return for a refund.

Do NOT purchase after-market, stick with OEM
I installed this early 2022 and it's March1 in which I have a defective PCV valve. Not only can I not return it, past the deadline though a warranty should have been somewhere but too much of hassle to work it out, anyways the valve was faulty in that it was leaking oil. I took the valve out, cleaned it multiple times by multiple tricks I read and when I shake it there isn't even a hint of a rattle. Every PCV valve should have some rattle, that's how you check it if you suspect issues; regardless I bought one from Acura today that rattled like a snake so hopefully my oil leak is resolved or this POS valve may have caused too much pressure and is the source of the valve cover gasket leak or rear main seal. Just pay the extra money for a good product or at least one with a year (mine has lifetime with Acura) warranty.

El producto es de buena calidad. Hay que tener cuidado al quitar la válvula anterior el plástico puede estar cristalizado y romperse en el interior del motor
