Wonderful purchase for these reasons: 1) Superior hooking functionality of these hooks. Most large hooks do not have enough room for large yarn (fabric strips, cord, etc.) to be carried through the stitch. These are shaped ideally for that. Nothing slides off. 2) Nothing splits. The head is shaped with just enough point to penetrate a stitch and open it easily but not so pointy that it splits multiple strands or thick yarn or roving. 3) Easy on the hands. Nice handles. Long enough to grasp comfortably but not so long that they weigh down the hands or get stuck where they are not wanted on the non-business end. 4) A useful and generous assortment of sewing up needles for crochet and wide enough eye to serve as bodkins for threading elastic through casings, etc. Thoughtfully packaged in a reusable, findable clear case. 5) Cute and fun looking with bubbles in the handles of the hooks and a happy flowered zippered case for everything to fit into. 6) Fabulous price! A whole assortment for about what I would have paid for one. It is always useful to have a variety of sizes when starting a project to experiment with how tight or loose the stitches should be. I am making all kinds of rugs using up t-shirts, yarn, plastic bags, so it is nice to have options.There is a ridge from the plastic mold but it is not sharp enough to fray the yarn I am using. If it posed a problem, it would be easy to file away with an emery board.Like most US shoppers, I have had problems and disappointments with Chinese products, but this one is a total winner.

I love this set! They are pleasant to hold, smooth and easy to keep to guage. A better price than some single hooks, and the tapestry needles and thread cutter are good quality. The packaging pleased me very much. The needles were packed in a nice transparent case that is easy to open, yet the top seals nicely when I close it. The entire kit came in a well made zipper bag of sturdy, soft fabric. I do have small hands. The length suits me well. If you have large hands, you might find them less comfortable to work with as the hooks are a bit shorter than others I have used.

Beautiful and comfortable to use. Each hook is 6 1/2 long. The biggest hook weights 44 grams and the smallest 15 grams on my digital scale. There are no rough areas around the throat. There's a tiny raised area on the end where the sizing is embedded into each hook (there is also a separate printed stamp, that may eventually wear off, so its nice to have the permanent embedded one too). The hooks are housed in a well made zippered pouch with a tube of assorted large eye needles. Very good to keep things clean and tidy. I'm so glad I finally decided to purchase. I collect crochet hooks, and even if I don't get as many opportunities to use the bigger hooks, I have a beautiful and comfortable set to work with when I do.

The hooks were nice, but felt a little awkward to me. It seemed like the shape of the head is a little to long and pointed on these. I'm a 20+ year crocheter, but kept getting the yarn snagged on yarn over and pull through. I gave it 4 stars stars because maybe it's just my way of holding ghee hook just makes it weird. Side note, the little tube of weave-in needles is great!

I love these hooks! They are comfortable to grip and are lightweight. The shiny glitter makes it stand out nice when using dark yarn. They are a tad shorter than I'd like, but not a big deal. The cute pouch that they came in holds all my crochet hooks. The yarn needles are easy to thread and are east to keep track of in the vial.

These hooks and needles arrived in a very timely manner. I love how the plastic hooks have bubbles in them. The hooks are large but easy to hold. I enjoy making rugs and have had trouble with heavier hooks. I just got these in the mail today, but know by experience that this is a good buy. It is wonderful when sometimes one gets more than bargained for. The colorful case is very useful and easy to find. The eye in the needles are large enough to easily run large material through to make button and flower designs for the project. Very user friendly.

I liked getting the nice tube of needles with this set, and I'll definitely use the cute, well-made little storage bag. The hooks may work for others, but I didn't like working with them and I doubt I'll use them again. The plastic creates friction that seems minor but really slows down the process. The top of the hook is too rounded to find and slide through the stitches to pull up loops. On my project, it also made a weird squeaking sound that was a bit unpleasant. I switched about halfway through to an aluminum hook--the crochet was twice as fast and the stitches much better formed.

Love these, light weight and great for traveling.
