Perfect entry tool set
I was surprised by the quality of the tools in this set. much higher quality than I was expecting for a set this size. Highly recommended for the casual user or as an entry level set.

Great value, but too many duplicates
I got the 42-piece set and while I still think it's a great value for some entry-level tools, it has way too many duplicates and I wish there had been an option for a 30-piece set that incorporated the ribbon tools and cutting tool in the 22-piece set. I chose the larger set because I needed the wire cutter, rib, and rolling pin.Pros:- Great value esp. considering many of the tools are double-ended- I keep this as a backup set at home and use higher-end (Xiem and Kemper) tools in my rented studio, so they don't get a ton of use, but they've survived over a dozen multi-hour sessions and seem like they'll last—no wiggly attachment points yet- comes with nearly everything you need to get started and then some!Cons:- there are several needle tools and identical carving tools that just fluff up the item count- would have preferred they replace the dupes with the ribbon tools in the 22-pc set, a silicone rib, and some other trimming/fluting tools- the metal rib is on the flimsy side- the trimming tools aren't as sharp as Kemper, but better than I expected for the price- the wood seems pretty raw and is unvarnished—make sure not to leave in water or I could see them splitting, and a bit of sanding wouldn't hurt for comfort (especially on the rolling pin, which leaves woodgrain imprints)

Great gift any age
I bought this for my grandson as a gift and he went right to work. I think it would be a good set for any age really. His sister made me a gift from it that is very sturdy and durable. Great for young crafters, or more advanced ones too.

Best sculping set on the market
I couldn't believe all the tools you get with the kit. It is one of the most complete sculpting tool kits I have ever gotten. Very sturdy and easy to use. I have been using this set for over a year and have no issues with any tool that came out of the box. Great for a beginner or a pro, would highly recommend.

Good set of tools for the price
I bought these for my junior high art students, perfect for the ceramic projects they were working on. Might not be the highest quality ever but for the price and the variety of tools, it’s a good buy. Many of the tools have come in handy for other projects I do in the classroom as well. Would buy these again.

Perfect for a beginner!
I just began learning to sculpt and this set is exactly what I needed. I don't need a full set of high-end tools but I do need a comprehensive set that will allow me to try out as many different tools as is reasonably possible and this set is exactly that. As I continue to practice I'll undoubtedly learn that I reach for a small subset of the tools the majority of the time, and those are the tools I'll consider upgrading to more expensive 'pro' models. I do not care that it did not come with a carrying case or other pouch-type storage because I don't like sliding markers or small paint brushes in and out of pouches while I'm working, and I don't think I'd like doing that with sculpting tools, either. Storage is easy to find and most of it protects tools much better than a plastic pouch does. FIVE STARS!
