Wild Wings WW3DHF3 So Real 3D Flower Hummingbird Feeder, Red

I thought that the design would be good for birds and easy to clean. Huh! Hummingbirds unable to reach the sugar water via the plastic flowers - faulty design. It is tricky to take apart to fill. The feeder dropped from my hand bringing it in and one of the outer perches broke. Going out tomorrow to buy a feeder that does not have these design flaws! Do not waste your money on this one.

Nevermind that the colour is nothing like the photos - more burgundy brown than red. And the perches are a bit far for the birds to sit. After only three days up, one petal popped off when I took it down to clean it and change the nectar. Then I noticed that the hook was beginning to rust at the base where it threads into the feeder. A very expensive piece of junk. Poor design. It’s going back!

I bought this style of feeder because the bottle type would leak the syrup onto the sundeck of my friends condo. After many days of the the hummingbirds going to the old (bottle) feeder location and wondering what the heck, they eventually discovered the new feeder. Condo strata rules forbid having the feeder from the balcony ceiling so I mounted it on a vertical pole. It does not leak like the bottle feeder did.

I bought a smaller one from the same company before and I really liked it. I had hoped this would be similar but it was much bigger and cheaper feeling. The "flower petals" fall off easily.

The hummingbirds were reluctant to drink from this feeder. I have another older feeder that was just red with yellow flowers and they would choose the old feeder first. The least little overfill spilled out of the feeder.
