There are a lot of complaints about durability of these crates. Does anybody have recommendations?

After 4 months this fell apart due to 1 plastic pin falling out or breaking. Was used very few times. We have 4 carts that we use - all different brands. The others have lasted 2-3 years and are still going. This is a nice cart with weak parts. DO NOT ORDER.Checked the Olympia site - no warranty or support listed.Try DBEST or BAZIC - they have held up best for me. Still a lot of people say these fall apart also.If anyone can recommend a better brand, please do. We use at least one of these daily.

What are the internal dimensions of this product when fully open?

It is about 15" x 14" . 15" from side to side and 14" from front to back (handle side). Hope this helps.

Is it strong enough to hold a standard size grocery bag(paper) full of canned goods?

Yes - it will hold up to 80 pounds.

Can this item be used to carry dumb bells from one room to another: one 15 lb, two ten lb, two 8 lb and two 5 lb weights?

No, that's how mine broke.. I used it to move weights and a tailgater..and it just broke, can't haul a lot of weight
