These are great. Hold a lot of water and paint. Did not notice any shedding. Fantastic for the price. The come to a very tight point perfect for detail and painting tree branches in watercolor

I had read reviews of this and I wasn't sure of the quality, but these really hold water and a point. Because they're natural, they don't have the snap some artificial brushes have, but I'm able to paint loose as well as fine details.I've been painting with a library Sumi-e watercolor book, and these really worked well with that style. I think these will be in my watercoloring arsenal often.

Three of the four brushes are a little mushy for my taste, but the white brush is actually quite springy and I like it enough that I would consider it worth the price of the set. Wish I knew what they used for it, I'd look for a larger one!

Really like these brushes. Description says four but only received three.

These are wonderful for detail or fine lines. they make the finest line of all my brushes - and I own A LOT of brushes. Also they hold quite a lot of paint. The hairs are natural and soft. 1 brush is firmer & wider, two fine & 1 extra fine. At the tip it may be only 2 hairs, but they are shaped quite well & hold together nicely. I also was able to do some dry brush very easily with a loaded brush of paint.I would have preferred a bamboo or a traditional Chinese handle, but they are weighted nicely. The barrel is best held with the Chinese style grip which I learned early on through an art book “Chinese painting techniques” by Lian Quan Zhen.Above is a small sample of dry brush & lines made with the paint left after a swatch. The lines went on & on, finer than any pen or nib & easier to draw with!! I hope you can zoom down & see how good the point is! - -Makes me want to paint just looking at them.And for the price, you could wear these brushes out and buy new 10 times in a year and it would still be a bargain.A superb find.

I was somewhat skeptical when I bought these, but understand that as a watercolor artist, I own nearly 100 brushes - natural and synthetic hair. Every artist should own these. You wouldn't want to use them to cover a large area but the point is amazing for smaller areas, and the length of the bristles allows these brushes to hold a really considerable amount of color. I couldn't believe it . The price is beyond reasonable so there's no excuse not to get them - and you get 4!

While it was a long wait for the shipping when it arrived these brushes were well worth the patience!These quality brushes come with 3 different types. And all four I couldn’t recommend highly enough. They can do anything from very fine lines and detail to being spread like a fan brush or making fat lines.I am very grateful to this company especially for its black brush with mixed white and black hairs. While common as a larger brush one at this size and of such quality was like finding one’s dream brush.I plan to buy more (especially brushes) from this company in the future!
