Hewitt Industries Combo Pyrometer & 50PSI Boost Gauge Kit

I installed these on my 2003 F-350 Super Duty and I am very happy with them. One thing that I really liked but did not notice until way later is the face and the font match to my trucks factory gauges. Like a factory match. Looks really good. I would compare to the Autometer Ford Factory Match or even better match. It is spot on. Only thing I did not like about my overall install is this; I used the GlowShift 2 gauge A Pillar Pod. And, the gauges will not fit all the way back into the hole. I had to use the spacer ring that the gauge kit comes with. If I had to do it again I would, and still might, is get the Autometer gauge pod. The Pyro is super responsive. And for the Boost gauge install I drilled and tapped my Metal intake elbow on the back flat side. Works good. Ill try and remember to post some pictures of them next to my ScanGauge2

I have to say, I was skeptical about buying these with so few reviews and the great price..... But let me say I'm SOOOO glad I did! After a month with these gauges I can confidently say these are TOP quality gauges at a full discount price. Not only are these gauges TOP notch but they come with a truly comprehensive installation pack. I can't state how impressed I am with this package. The pyro works perfect and comes with 2 thermocouple adapters and the boost gauge is spot on! If you need some truck gauges and don't want to spend $200 per gauge these are for you!

Gauge worked for a short time, 2 months then nothing. Wiggled the plug and it seemed to work, closer inspection of the plug revealed poorly crimped wire to the pins. Bought a second wiring kit and the same thing happened, wires easily come loose and gauge will not read. Poor quality. Will not purchase again from Hewitt.

They work! Good gauges for the price, they are completely analog, the only electrical connections you need to make are to illuminate them for night driving.

Seem good quality

Straightforward wiring and installation. The fact that this pyrometer doesn’t need its own power supply (other than for lighting) makes it super easy. Don’t ask me how it works. To install you will need a drill and some NPT taps but it’s not hard to find a proper tutorial online. Boost gauge works good, no bouncing or vibrating, seems to give a stable reading of manifold pressure. Using this gauge kit on a Cummins swapped Ford. Couldn’t be happier with the gauges themselves.

Gauges look great. They are simple, not flashy or colorful. They look and feel quality. I installed these on a 2001 Ram 24v Cummins. I has previously used a "cheap" brand of gauges, which are not priced all that much better than these Hewitt gauges. These gauges blow them out of the water. The boost gauge is very responsive, needle is very firm and does not bounce around. My gauge is reading 32psi on a turn buckled HY35. Most people say max boost on this turbo is 29 psi. Not sure if the gauge is off slightly or I am making more boost. In reality depends on fueling considering the waste gate isn't is operation. Gauge comes with several fittings. They are push lock on one end and 1/4" npt. Gauge comes with more than enough line to run to gauge. EGT gauge looks great also. It is very responsive and seems well made. EGT probe wire is plenty long to run into cab and is available in different lengths from manufacturer. Gauge comes with 1/8th npt and 1/4 npt fittings for probe. Overall, great looking, quality set of gauges that are most likely under priced. I cannot comment on durability and such as of yet, I just installed them last night. I will comment back if there are any issues. Update- still pleased with gauges. They have proven durable so far and are still functional and meeting expectations in 2020.
