Flex-Drain ADP53702 Flexible T / Y, Landscaping Drain Pipe Adapter, 4inch, Black

Does what it says - just make sure you’re getting this to connect to flex-drain specifically - does not fit larger pipes correctly.

Not sure if it is worth my time writing an review for these type of parts - being I believe nearly all of you are 'couch potatoes' - meaning 'you are lazy' too lazy to dig an trench for an French drain. But do not fret or get angry - you most likely do not need an french drain. Most important - you think your needs of these parts thoroughly. Length of drain - turns and the parts required for an turn and most of all you fasten/afix them in the correct direction. That sleeve/coupling which is sold here you must assure the edge is not facing the flow of water or the water will flow out the space. This is designed to have sufficient material when coupled where the water merely flows down into the next part. In locations on your property where drainage is not satisfactory or locations which during an 'down pour' the type of rainfall which, I am not joking here , it is raining JUST over your house - this does help remove excess water. I have stood in pouring rain - app 200 feet from my garage door - perfectly dry - but it rained HARD for 5 minutes just on top of my home.

These seem to be hard to find for some reason, though I suspect it's more a local thing than anything else. This particular WYE is one I rather like, since it is a corrugated 4" for the "straight" and then the "Y" itself is flexible and will accommodate either 3" or 4" corrugated drainpipes. This is a VERY clever design and one I rather like or the pure 4" or 3" WYEs, since both can be accommodated. The WYE itself is made of a softer plastic which works well for drains when buried; the "hard" ones can get brittle over time, whereas these don't. I like them. There was an issue with the shipping though, and here I felt this instance was so silly I had to say something about it. I have attached a picture above.....that box is HUGE (approximately two feet by three feet), with a bit of packing paper in the box and then the WYE itself. That's IT......so much waste here. Fortunately I can put it all into the fireplace, but surely Amazon could have found a more appropriate box? At any rate, I am glad to get the WYE as I lay out plans for some drainage work next springtime. This is exactly what I needed--Amazon comes thru again!

I needed a Y connector for a buried 4" drain tile. I bought this because it was adjustable and thought it would be easier to install. In the end it was just too lightweight and flimsy for a buried application.

I just installed this over the weekend (a day ago), so longevity is yet to be seen- but it did exactly what I needed by having an adjustable Y design as the previous T adapter I had was leaking terribly. I used PVC tape to secure the joints and hoping it alleviates long term leak issues I was having before. My main compliment to this is the adapter fits inside 4" drain pipe to help prevent additional leakage.
