Q: Which part is 5' and which part is 30'? Does this mean that 16 channels are connected to a 5' cable and 16 channels are connected to a 30' cable?

Hi, Thanks for your interest in Seismic Audio and our selection of Pro Audio gear! There are two trunk cables coming out the back of the rack mount box and each trunk has 32 channels. This split snake is splitting all 32 channels. It is point to point hardwired and transformerless. This means there will be a signal reduction, but your mixer's preamps should be enough to make up for this loss. Also, you will need to use individual phantom power supply in between each condenser mic and this split box. Because it is hardwired, if you engage phantom power on either mixer connected to the split, it will travel through the split and into the other mixer and this would be a problem.
