This really works BUT be careful on your levels! I am going to have to stop taking this for awhile as my Folate, B-12 and (likely - still waiting) B6 is too high which caused a mostly minor problem. Luckily I caught it or I would have been misdiagnosed and given unneeded medicine. I'm older and my metabolism is slower. I truly love that it improves clarity and to a degree, energy and sleep quality. When things calm down I will see about taking this every OTHER day and without the other supplement I was on.

I have the MTHFR gene mutation (I’m pretty sure I have a homozygous mutation, meaning it affects both chromosomes rather than one). This genetic gene mutation means my body can’t break down folic acid. Over the last few years, I’ve noticed brain fog, inability to concentrate, anxiety, and random bouts of depression. It seemed as time went on, I got worse. This pill is a form of folic acid that people with the MTHFR gene mutation can break down! My sister has a prescription for this special type of folic acid, while I take this pill (twice daily). So while I cannot compare it to the prescription, I can honestly say it has helped me so much!! Within a few days of taking it, I could tell that my concentration at work improved, I was able to think a little more clearly without the brain fog, and my mood improved. And I no longer get those bouts of depression. I have been taking this pill for many months now and at first, I noticed a difference but wasn’t sure if it was this pill that was helping or if it was perhaps something else. But I kept taking it. About a month ago, I forgot to take these pills and went probably 3 days without them. I was so stressed, overwhelmed, and upset that day! So now I make sure to never miss a day because I’m am 100% certain these vitamins help me so much! If you think you have the MTHFR mutation (either heterozygous or homozygous), these vitamins are SO helpful! They improve my overall mood and brain fog. They are my happy pills LOL However, if you haven’t gotten tested for this gene mutation and you think you might have it, I would recommend doing so. Folic acid plays a huge roll in pregnancies so it’s important women’s bodies get enough of it during pregnancy.

These were suggested by my doctor as I need methylated b12 rather than the normal version. I've been taking this brand for years and have been pleased. While I do not notice a significant difference in my energy and focus, I am able to tell that I have a more sustained energy level throughout the day. This brand has always been consistent and on time. It's a safe bet if you are looking for methylated B12. Additionally, there is little to no taste which is nice.

I am very satisfied with my order! It has been better than I expected, I legitimately noticed a difference in mood within 30 minutes of taking the supplement on the very first dosage. It was as if this blanket of discontent, subtly residing just beneath the surface, dancing within the confines of my mind was lifted, and all of the side effects that I've struggled with daily, as a lifelong sufferer of MTHFR have been alleviated. I am compound heterozygous MTHFR A1298C + C677T. Have suffered severe chemical depression since I was in high school. After receiving these test results my psychiatrist put me on Deplin, and when those ran out I opted to Amazon for l-methylfolate. I have switched around different brands, and after much research and through experimentation I noticed that when I added a Betaine supplement my energy levels were instantly increased, that day. The folate + betaine relationship is explained in a few papers but the gist is that betaine provides the right pH in stomach for the vitamin to be properly absorbed. Folate is a water-soluble and tricky vitamin. I have just started taking this at night time now, because I simply no longer eat enough during day to want to waste taking a pill. This being my first time with this brand, I did not notice a major difference, but that is because I've already been taking l-methylfolate. It seems to be keeping up and doing its job. This stuff will make you pee neon yellow after; I didn't notice that in previous brands. It doesn't bother me but worth mentioning . I purchased this product specifically because it also has B12, which is needed in the methylation cycle. B9 and B12 are needed together in adequate amounts. I also like that there is some niacin in here as I wanted to start that. I am definitely going to keep purchasing this product for the price point and nutritional value.

I didnt notice anything the first couple of times I tried taking this, which was very discouraging. Recently, I decided to do another deep dive into MTHFR to see if the research had found anything new. I ended up finding out I might need more than the usual dose due to being homozygous so I doubled up and hit the sweet spot. My energy was better, my mood was more stable and I was more patient with my kids, and I even had more stamina in martial arts. I definitely recommend playing around with it if you aren't seeing a difference, of course, be careful not to overdo it. I think my body was running on fumes after dealing with this for so many years unassisted so it needed the extra but not everyone will. It does have a bit of a taste but it is not unmanageable. The size is small and manageable and it is easy to swallow. Overall, it works well if you just find the best dose for you! Wish id figured that out a long time ago so I could've been feeling better all along! I did look at other brands that have a few more things in them that support MTHFR but this has a higher dose of folate than they do so it ended up being in my best interest to stay with them and purchase the additional supplements separately (P-5-P and TMG).
