Cools down strong
I got this to repair the heels of my shoes. The sole of them disintegrated one day. the only thing for this to cling to is four small metal nails. It adhered very well. But was also able to come off when needed. Once cooled it is very strong without being slippery so it works perfectly for what I need. However, there is a drawback. The window of workability is very small. If using it for sculpting or anything that requires detail you should invest in a heat gun.

Does just what you want with no mess
This was easy. Just put in some pieces, mix it up, and if it isn't dark enough, put in a few more until you are happy. One tip, when it hardens it does harden less dark so adding a few more to keep it black instead of dark-gray is the way to go. You also get a lot of these in a package and it does not take many to darken the plastic. Good value for the money.Does not stain your hands when mixing.

the products are great.
Takes slightly more pellets than suggested to reach the desired color level. Doesn’t matter, the products are great.

Here's a color pellet trick
For any of the colors including black, don't just throw in the pellets into the white ones ... instead, heat up any color by itself and when hot press it out in a thin disk ... use a drinking glass .... make various disks with each of the colors . Now when you want to color a project, melt the white pellets and using scissors cut a narrow strip of one of the disk colors, the narrower the color strip the lighter the color will be in the final white/color kneading ... too light, cut another disk strip wider, or narrower . You have perfect color intensity control with this method instead of just throwing color pellets into your white ones ... These pellets are smooth to the flow after heating and blend really well .... if you decide to ignore my advice then just remember to start with a lot less pellets than you would think ... a rounded teaspoon of white pellets needs only 4 black pellets. they dont automatically mix, you must knead them into the white pellets and it mixes together like clay epoxy glue mixes do.

These are color beads, you only need a few!
I thought I was buying black thermoplastic, but this is a color for it. You only need to add 8 of these little beads per tablespoon of clear or white to color it black. These beads are the size of cupcake sprinles, so the smallish bag should last a very long time. I'm happy. 😁

Great for small projects
I have used this for fixing a key chain ring for my apartment key fob, which worked great. It dries really fast so you have to act fast when using this for something. I also used this for a laptop I rebuilt. One of the tabs broke off and wouldn't seal the laptop case correctly. I was able to use a little bit of the polly plastic pellets to adhere to the tab in the laptop. This saved me time and money because the part was so small. I will consider purchasing more as I have a ton of projects I can use this for.

A fantastic and versatile material for an unlimited number of uses.
This branded polycaprolactone is a fantastic and versatile material for use by hobbyists and makers for an unlimited number of uses - I am always finding more uses. For even greater utility, check out this company's coloring pellets that you easily mix into these white pellets. A very little goes a long way as they are very concentrated.

Really not good at all, at least for me.
I have used the white version of Ploy Plastics for many years, I have never once had any problems whatsoever, but, I cannot say that about this. Now, what went wrong? I can't answer that, all I know is that my small project did not work, not even a little bit.First, when I had it in how water in a cup, just like I always do, I had the white and the black together, it turned into a VERY sticky mess, completely uncontrollable. I dripped it onto my project and let it just mound up, I had to turn it many times to prevent it from dripping down onto my counter. When I have used the white in ALL cases it acted completely different, it was not a sticky mess, in fact, it was very easy to mold into what I needed. Now, possibly that my white plastic is out of date now, I haven't used it for maybe two years, that could be, I can give a definitive answer on that.I will say that I had a chunk of the white that was mixed into the black and it seemed to be the normal consistency, so, I just don't know.It might also be that there were no clear instructions in the bag of the black plastic, so maybe I had a wrong mixture of the black and the white.I had recently read that it needed only a small amount of black mixed into the white to get good color, and I did that, I added only enough that it colored it. It is possible that I used too much. I am pretty sure that I didn't use 'too little' because like I said, the white seemed O.K.Another REALLY BAD thing about this was, after I let it cool for a couple of hours, (it doesn't need that long, I just left it alone and did other things) I came back to it and I saw a GIANT crack in it! I inserted my thumbnail into that small crack and it just popped off of my project into 4 pieces. VERY BRITTLE, not at all like the white nylon look and feel to it, not even a little bit.So, to me, that is something wrong, whatever that wrong is, I can't say.Maybe I had a bad batch, maybe...I may try again, but I ordered some black Apoxie instead, I know that stuff pretty well. I will be back to update this if I do try using it again.
