Well made fillable umbrella weight
So far this seems to be a well-made and good-looking fillable umbrella weight. It has a nice carrying handle so it is easier to move when filled with sand or stones. It also comes with a tool-free, extra-long thumb screw for securing the umbrella pole. I actually bought this to add stability to a metal towel rack I got on Amazon (see attached picture). The towel rack seems somewhat unstable, and I noticed other similar towel racks have a weight like this attached, Note that the center hole for this umbrella stand actually has a stopper about 1.25 inches up from the bottom. This is a nice feature to keep the umbrella pole up off of your deck surface so it doesn’t scratch or rust on the deck surface. Unfortunately I will have to cut it out with a hole saw to slide it over the towel rack pole. But however you plan to use this stand, I would recommend it without question.

Solid, Reliable, and Built to Last Umbrella Base
This umbrella base is exactly what a patio setup needs when you want stability without dealing with rust or leaks. Once filled (I used sand), it becomes impressively sturdy and keeps the umbrella pole locked in place with no wobble at all. The design is clearly meant for use under a patio table, and it does that job flawlessly. The grip handle makes it surprisingly easy to move around even after filling. I also appreciate the clear guidance on weight differences depending on whether you use concrete, gravel, or sand. I fully recommend.

Works but with limitations
Filled with sand by cutting open a large soda bottle and using as funnel with a thick twig in up and down motion to push sand inside while tilting the base to one side. Laborious but doable. The screw securing the base is small and the base is plastic so I doubt that this would last long as a freestanding base. I use it with a table with four legs and it keeps the pole from swaying against the table. I bought it because I needed a short base. It is cheap and works - but you need to be clear about the limitations. If your table will support a taller base, then buy a weighted base. Ditto for free standing usage. It is a workable solution - with real limitations.

Fill with pea gravel
We bought a 50lb bag of washed 3/8” pea gravel at the hardware store for this and that worked great. You want something heavy that will pour easily through the 1-1/4” filler hole and will stay dry or dry out easily so things don’t grow in it. We may try some cat tongue rubber grip tape on the bottom to keep it from twisting on our redwood deck, and maybe some to help the thumbscrew keep the pole from twisting. Update, the cat tongue tape works great, both on the stand bottom and on the inside surface of the socket for the umbrella pole, it all keeps the umbrella from rotating in the wind.

Decent Base, But Not Secure Enough in Strong Winds
I picked up the US Weight fillable umbrella base to use with a patio table. It’s fairly sturdy and easy to fill, but in practice it doesn’t hold up as well as I’d hoped. Even when filled, the base doesn’t have enough grip or weight to keep the umbrella secure in stronger winds—the umbrella can pull out. For calm days, it works fine, and it’s lightweight to move around when empty. But if you live in an area with frequent gusts, you’ll likely need something heavier or with a locking mechanism. Pros: Easy to fill and set up Works fine in mild weather Lightweight and portable when empty Cons: Not heavy or secure enough in strong winds Umbrella can pull out of the base More suited to light-duty use than heavy umbrellas Overall, it’s an okay base for fair weather, but not reliable if you want peace of mind on windy days.

Umbrella weight
Good product. Filled with sand, put the umbrella in and tightened it down. Easy, peasy!

Keep looking your umbrella won’t stand straight no matter what you do!!!!
This is a PIA to fill first of all. I had to makeshift a funnel and the hole in the stand was very small. It took forever to even fill in halfway with bagged small rocks I bought just for the purpose of filling this stand. Then when I set up my umbrella there is only one tightening screw so the umbrella stands crooked. I tried wedging a piece of wood on the other side of the umbrella but to no avail. The box had already been thrown out so I guess I’m just stuck with it. UGH

Pensé que venía pre llenada.
No viene pre llenada, ahora tengo que conseguir grava y ver como la lleno. Fuera de eso se ve adecuada.

Smaller than we thought, but still worked well for the size of umbrella we ordered
Nice handle for carrying when filled.

Just right
I was using it to support a Davis weather station on a 20 foot pole. It worked out great. I was a bit nervous but I couldn't ask for more. Filled it with sand and it was easy to level.

Muy bueno y a excelente precio
Concepto muy práctico, se rellena con arena y mantiene la sombrilla siempre en su lugar. No recomiendo que usen agua.

Not supportive enough to hold a standard garden umbrella
Only one pin on one side to hold the umbrella pole up so unless you use a really lightweight beach umbrella, it doesn’t hold it straight. Leans so much it doesn’t work on a standard garden umbrella. Needs a screw on the other side to hold it in place
