UPDATE2: Remote keychain quit working after 1 year, customer service said too bad for me.
UPDATE 05/15/23:My ADT Blue remote keychain (which is a must if you don't want to be pressing a bunch of buttons when arming or disarming) suddenly quit working. I replaced the battery and tried re-adding the remote, but no luck. I cannot find a replacement remote for sale any more, as ADT Blue is discontinued in 2023 (lucky me). I contacted ADT and talked to someone named "Theresa" about finding a replacement remote, and she said they could not help me with tech support because I was doing ADT self-monitoring. Boy, what great customer service.UPDATE 03/27/22:After a few weeks of use, and with the memory of the frustrating setup further behind me, I decided to upgrade this review from 2 stars to 3. Once up and running, it appears pretty stable and cooperative. And the key fob works well, and from a decent distance through walls. If things keep going well over the next month, I'll all but forget about the lousy app/setup and up it to 4 stars.ORIGINAL:The only reason I bought this system is because it had a remote key fob -- which was not part of what was shipped to me... strike one.You need the app if you're going to self-monitor, and let me tell you, it is horrible, in that:--It has a confusing layout.--Is almost impossible to set up push notifications for.--Reports a sensor enrollment error even when it enrolls OK.--Reports armed STAY (home) when it's actually armed AWAY.--On-line help does not accurately depict menu options. And those are just the ones I remember at the moment. Did I say the app is horrible? Now for the hardware:-- Sensors were supposed to come pre-enrolled. Nope. Had to pull the batteries from each sensor and reset it and re-enroll it (or else the app would not get off the startup page.-- One of the door sensors fails randomly, causing an alarm when the system is armed. Real nice feature.-- Sometimes arms as STAY even when arm AWAY is selected on the hub. (I think the app and the hub are in cahoots on this one.)I spent 6 (yes, SIX) hours on the phone with tech support people. They tried dearly to help, but couldn't figure out my notifications problem. I didn't bother to mention that I had received a bad sensor, as I bought a spare and just replaced it.This system is fairly crappy all-around compared to my old 3G system that I have to replace. I'd send it right back, but I want it to work because of the key fob.

Missing the keychain remote. Blue alarm does not work with their own bglass break sensor!
I specifically bought ADTs 8 piece kit for their keychain remote. I received everything minus the keychain remote. I sent messages thru Amazon, ADT app and direct email regarding the missing keychain remote. I got ZERO response back so I ended up returning the alarm system. IMPORTANT NOTE: ADTs BLUE alarm does NOT SUPPORT their own glass break sensors! ADT BLUE system components are different from their non BLUE alarm system components.

Works mostly, too many false alarms
I had this system for about 2 years. The system works most of the time. Base station has a way of disconnecting from internet for 15 minutes to 2 hours once every 4-5 months. There have been multiple false alarms including alarms at 2:00 AM while I was away on vacation. There were false motion sensor alarms two nights in a row. There have been 2-3 false door open alerts when door was firmly closed and locked with no one at home. There have been multiple false tamper alerts on window sensors.

Unless you like being frustrated, don't buy this
The App is one of the worst user experiences I've ever encountered. There were no instructions on how to get the back off the keypad to put in the batteries and/or connect the power, and that was the end of my experience. I didn't unpack the rest. The beginning was so frustrating I'm returning it.
