A good hammer
This hammer is great. Not big and heavy but just enough weight for average shop work. The cross pein is slim enough to get into tighter spots where a ball pein won’t go.

great for adjusting wooden body hand plane irons
this little hammer has a nice wide face with flat sides, but is not very heavy. I use it for adjusting the iron on a couple of wood body hand planes (a small Japanese kanna and a larger Chinese style smoother). The square profile makes it easy to get clean taps on the wedge. Seems well made with clean casting / machining. Great value, great control for light duty use. This is not a sledge hammer.

What a deal
I can't enough about this hammer. I have a set of craftsman USA ball peen hammers and USA claw hammers. My favorite hammer is a Japanese Dai Dogyu Chisel Hammer but this one is well finished and is a beauty for such a low price. Well balanced and the handle is real nice wood. It's called a machinist hammer but it's more like a small blacksmith's hammer.
