Q: Does the "Power" indicator light stay on continuously or only when the heater is functioning? Mine is on continuously even when not running.

The description clearly states that the amber light comes on when the heater is in the on position. Turn the thermostat dial back to the off position and it goes out.Not that hard to understand. ''The unit also features a power light that clearly indicates when it's in use, helping you to ensure that it's safely turned off before you leave the room.''

Q: Where is this heater made

Q: where is the sencer for the thermoatate

Don’t know but I think it’s in the bottom area. Thermostat does work very well. I run it on medium setting most of the time and thermostat set about 6. Heats a 24 x16 out building mildly insulated in 30 degree weather.

Q: anyone know if this heater is more cost effective than a propane heater?

For me it is, I pay $0.11 per kw per hour (This heater uses 7.5kw per hour, so it costs me $0.83 per hour). I have been using a propane heater that costs me about $1.25 per hour. So yes, it is probably cheaper, however, as others have stated, it really depends on what electricity costs per kWh where you live. Multiply your cost per kWh by 7.5 and you will get your answer. FYI, kerosene costs about the same as propane, and diesel costs around $0.86 per hour at $5.00 per gallon. Hope this helps!
