Dual Frequency Plasma Proof IR Repeater Kit IRP-2 for all CATV, IPTV,CCTV, DVR STB and A/V Receivers

customer service was great, they replied to my inquiry under a couple of hours and provided great advice on which product i should get. I ended up ordering the IRP-2 Dual Frequency IRI,CFL,ESI,EMI,LCD and Plasma Proof IR Repeater and the 25ft Ir Emitter 3.5mm Mono Extension Cable. They were easy to install and it worked like a charm. my Rogers NextBox is now in a different room and I can control it with no issue at all (just a very tiny delay between commands). I can point the remote from any direction and it works, even better than when I was using the remote directly to the box! this is a great product and very well priced. Speciality stores wanted to sell me a complicated kit for $100 and regular stores wanted to sell wireless solution that never really work (i tried).

Bought this system over other more expensive systems. Not to save money, but the cleaner install. Pulled everything out and tested functions before pulling wires and installing. All worked out of the box. After pulling wires the system cycled my DVD player twice on and off and then stopped working. The repeater still works, but the emitters aren't firing to send signal to each component. It is very sensitive and responds blue over 20' away which is nice. The install is clean. The repeater is hardly noticeable and has very little interference from my plasma TV. Called seller and was advised it is a known problem that is being addressed and that QC must have missed the system that was sent to me. Seller advised that a new system will be mailed to me shortly. Will update review/rating accordingly when I get new system and system proves itself.

Purchased this IR repeater to operate both my FIOS TV DVR and Pioneer VSX-1021K Receiver. Due to both units located in a cabinet underneath the big screen TV, I would experience problems with the changing channels or raising volume due to the line-of-sight issue with the FIOS Remote Control. I contacted Infrared Resources. They highly-recommended this Dual Frequency IR Repeater Kit that they just began selling in FEB 2012. The price was right and I purchased the IR Repeater. Installation was extremely easy. All pieces have 3M adhesive tape so they can stick anywhere. Anyway, mounted the sensing receiver at the top-center of my big screen TV, and the repeaters mounted in front of my FIOS TV DVR (QIP-7232 P2) and Pioneer VSX-1021K Receiver. Connected power to this unit and worked perfectly. Now, no matter where I am in the Living Room, changing channels and/or volume works flawlessly with no line-of-sight issue. I highly recommend this IR Repeater and am very pleased with Infrared Rescources. They offered great advice and shipping was very fast (2-days). This IR Repeater works with any remote control.

Fantastic product! I had spent a week looking at other less expensive products, but I needed to make sure something worked for my Scientific Atlanta 8300HDC box. This was the only product I could find that said it would work so I went for it. I can verify that it works perfectly with the 8300. Also my 8300 died 2 days after and TWC replaced it with a newer Samsung Box and it works perfectly with this new dvr box as well. The cables have plenty length for me to hide my cable box and has a nice strong single. I sit about 10 ft from the receiver and there is no difference or delay when using this IR extender. Overall very happy. As a bonus, because it has 2 IR blasters on it I can add a dvd player later and have that work without having to get a new Extender. Love it!

I have a Motorola DCX receiver. I consider myself pretty handy, but the fact that this item did not come with clear installation instructions was a little frustrating. I ended up finding the instructions online, but I shouldn't have had to hunt for them. Once I found the instructions, installation took five minutes. There is no noticeable lag in the reaction time from remote to devices.

If you don't mind the wires leading up to the LED on the front of your equipment, then this product is for you. It does what it says.

I have a plasma TV hooked up to a HTPC. The IR receiver for the computer did not play nice with the plasma. If the IR receiver was anywhere near the tv it blinked nonstop since it confused the plasma light with IR signals. The solution was to move the IR receiver way back on the shelf. This stopped the plasma interference but made the remotes hard to use. You had to aim super carefully and even then it often did not work. I was cautious buying this product. I purchased another IR relay that supposedly "works with plasma". It did not. The relay forwarded the plasma noise. I am happy to report this product works great with the plasma. Install was very easy. Used the USB power source. Took about five minutes to install. Tested by holding the IRP receiver right in front of the TV. The IRP successfully filtered the plasma light only transmitting the signals from IR remote.

Cables are easy to use and the combo of cords & transmitters are nicely split. Cons: -- Double Sided stickers are pore quality (same stickiness on both sides so they come off often (had to use something else) -- For some sensors the beam is too focused so had to set a little bit away to get some defraction of the signal.
