A great board for an Ender 3, a great board for any other printer.
I initially bought this board for an Anet A6. This is a board that isn't designed as a drop in replacement for anything besides a Creality printer, but I wanted to make it work. It didn't take long to get set up. Everything went together easily- connectors were clearly labeled and have a reasonable amount of documentation with it. Only thing I had to adjust were thermistor and endstop connectors, which involve cutting down from a 3-prong connector to a 2-prong. About 10 minutes later, they were all adjusted. From there, I just had to swap wires around for the fans to get the polarity correct. Once I was in Klipper config, config was straight forward. Klipper and Marlin both have example config files you can copy over to your main config file, where you can adjust them to fit your printer best afterwards. I had a failure shortly after getting the first board, and had another one sent out. It worked so well that I bought another one as soon as I bought a second printer, a CR-10 Mini. That was plug and play, as the SKR E3 V3 was designed for Creality printers. I didn't even try the printer with the OEM board. Shortly after, I bought another one for an Ender 3 V2 I had just bought. Same deal, great performance, plug and play, yada yada. TMC2209 drivers are extremely high quality for consumer line printers. You can't hear the stepper motors. 32-bit controllers work great when running Marlin, or any other firmware that piles calculation burden on the board. Even on Klipper, where calculations are run on an external device, you can still enjoy great board support and quiet driver operation. Next printer I buy, I'll buy another SKR board. They really are great. Paired with a BTT TFT35, you get an external touchscreen GUI (after some troubleshooting and configuration). That's a lot of fun to play with. Not compatible with Klipper, everybody. If you're looking for an aftermarket board, most BTT boards will suit you well. Nothing, however, can beat the support and community around the SKR E3 V3.

A Game Changer for 3D Printing: BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 Review
The BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 control board has completely transformed my Ender 3 Printer, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating. This upgrade has made my 3D printer nearly silent, vastly improving the printing experience. Installation was a breeze, which is a huge plus for someone who appreciates straightforward upgrades. The board fit perfectly, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. I was up and running in no time, and the difference in noise level was immediately noticeable. The use of STMicroelectronics' latest G0 series main control chip ensures efficient and powerful performance. This, combined with the TMC2209 UART stepper driver, contributes significantly to the reduction of noise, making long print jobs far less intrusive than before. The addition of three CNC fans for increased heat dissipation is a thoughtful feature. It keeps the printer temperature down during long operations, ensuring consistent performance and longevity of the board. The redesigned drive heat sink further enhances this by improving heat dissipation capacity, which is crucial for maintaining optimal performance. The upgrade from Mini USB to Micro USB B for the PC communication interface is a welcome change. It's more adaptable and fits better with the cables I already have, making it easier to connect the printer to my computer. The option to supply power directly to peripherals via the SPI output port is another highlight. It offers flexibility in powering external SPI sensors, providing both +3.3V and +5V options. This feature simplifies the setup for additional components, making this board not just a silent upgrade but also a versatile one. In conclusion, the BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 is a fantastic upgrade for the Ender 3 series printers. It not only significantly reduces noise but also improves performance and usability. The easy installation process and the thoughtful design improvements make this control board a must-have for any Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro, or Ender-3 V2 owner looking to enhance their 3D printing experience.

Nice Replacement for the CR10. Just be careful for the USB connector.
5 stars with one issue. The usb connector broke off as soon as I plug in a cable in. It was not soldered down properly. I got a replacement unit and added solder to anchor it down. I replaced my Creality CR-10 V2 mainboard using Klipper. This unit is working perfectly. The install was relatively straightforward.

Great contoller but confusing documentation
This board is a winner. I originally purchased this to replace the board in my makerbot/flashforge clone but it turned into a project of nightmare to rewire and make work, not because of the board but because of the terrible design of the printer. I ended up getting a used End 3 pro and swapped the controller out for this little beast, plugged everything up and flashed Marlin and she has been running great since. The installation into the Ender was easy as it can be basically just plug and go. The controller is fast and although there is some electronic noise when using this it barely noticeable way quieter than the printer itself. The board is fully functional for any of the bed slinger printers but you probably want to get a bigger board if you have a more advanced setup or are wanting to add more than 4 stepper motors to you machine. The size is relatively compact and the integrated heatsink is a nice touch both functionally and how it looks. Would recommend I also own the V2.0 of the board so I would recommend this line of product.

I purchased this board for my Ender 3 Pro. From day 1, it was problematic, with random hardware crashes and failure of my CRTouch unit. At first I thought that it was my lack of experience causing the problems, however, after going through multiple threads and forums, I came to believe that the problem was the board. 2 days ago, I suddenly lost USB connection to my Raspberry Pi. The board still functioned, just no connection to OctoPi. I contacted BigTreeTech's support at [email protected] and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast they responded. They offered different suggestions on how try to get the board working again. However, after I purchased a new USB cable and confirmed that the problem was the USB port on the board, BigTree's tech support stopped responding to my emails and I have heard nothing from them since. BigTreeTech is a multi-million dollar corporation. The fact that they won't give warranty service on a $60 CAD/ $45 USD item is a clear warning to all prospective buyers that BigTreeTech does not stand by their products. Get a Creality 4.2.7 board. Yes, it lacks the features of the SKR, however, based on my research, Creality has a warranty that they honor. Or, if you ned the extra features, spend the extra and get a MKS Robin or a Duet2 board. In the future, I will avoid BigTree's products. This is disappointing because I was just about to purchase a SKR Pico for my other printer. But throwing away another $55 for a product that has no warranty isn't going to happen. DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD!!!!

I used this board for my ender 3 pro .. I flashed marin on it and it used to work fine printing whatever i wanted until i turned it on one day and it wasnt working .. I confirmed that it was the motherboard because I replaced it with the original board and it worked.
