We have 10' ceilings and a 13' cathedral ceiling. Wish we would have found this ladder years ago - most of our fire alarms are close to a wall so it is easy to lean against a wall and change a battery. Other foldable ladders were more cumbersome to use. I do put a small towel on the ends to not to mess up the paint on the walls. I like that the directions are written on the ladder because we don't use it often and getting it to stay up was tricky at first until we actually read the instructions. So, read the instructions first - lol.

I want to love this ladder- it is the perfect height to get on the roof of my RV, it has the soft close between rungs that doesn’t allow your fingers to get smashed, and it is compact and relatively light. My only beef is that it flexes a lot and doesn’t feel as stable as I would hope. BUT it is a collapsible ladder and stability is reserved for one piece ladders or ones more substantial. It helps get a quick job done. I wouldn’t necessarily use it every day.
