These are pretty good pumps for the money. They are quiet, and surprisingly powerful. I use this one to drive a double stacked sponge rated for around 100 gallons, and it does really well. I also have a smaller version of this running a small sponge filter on my 10 gallon, and it does a good job. Overall these are inexpensive and work well. I would recommend.

For the price, you can't really beat this. Came working great right out of the box. I do see a review or two mentioning that the dial hardly makes a difference and I'm glad to say that fortunately mine works well! The dial is nice and has a noticeable range of air output. This air pump does better than my other pump that is more expensive. It's relatively quiet as well.

Good value for the price. We use it to run two sponge filter Betta/shrimp tanks. The first outlet is great, but the second outlet isn't enough on low. It works great when turned all the way up, but then it's too much for the Betta on the tank with the first one.We've managed to work around this given out setup, but it's not for everyone. We have 2 - 5 gallon Betta tanks, 2 - 10 gallon Betta tanks and a 10 gallon planted shrimp tank. Our shrimp have lots of babies so we run two small sponge filters for food, and the second outlet on this unit is connected to one for the lighter output. We have a single pump connected to the first pump on the left in our shrimp tank. We put it up half way and the first outlet powers the sponge filter in one of the ten Gallon Betta tank on the right. It's still a bit much for him sometimes as he's had some fin rot last year and they've never quite grown back, but overall he seems happy.Works well enough for us with the $10 we paid, and would be good to run multiple filters or stones in one large tank, or one in a large tank and one in a smaller tank. We've had it for around a year so far and it still works. It's a little loud but we keep it on a soft cloth on a table to Dampen the noise. We also keep these in our bedroom, so in a common area it wouldn't be as noticable. It says it's rated for up to 100-150 gallons but I find that hard to believe. In our setup, the outflow would likely be perfect for a 20 gallon and a 10 gallon on max setting, which we will likely upgrade to soon.

I got 2 of these. In my application they are almost completely silent at full bore. I hang them from hooks in order to avoid any vibration noise.Edit: I got a 3rd pump and have been using all 3 non stop for at least 7mo. 1 of them seems to be pushing less air than the other 2 but its still running. Ill be replacing it w the same pump soon.Edit may 2018: the first 3 pumps are still going w no problems. I just got a 4th for using when im cleaning my airstones.Edit august 2018: still no problems, all 4 pumps are still going.Please hit that button if my review was helpful!

Bought this to use with a sponge filter in a new 20 gallon set up. Had a little bit or murky water after putting in the sand and gravel but the adjustable flow rate for this air pump helped the sponge filter clear it in 24 hours at the highest flow rate! Perfectly clear and pristine water! Definitely buying more of these for future tank set ups!The amount of bubbles and the sound the water makes completely drowns out the sound the air pump itself makes, which I really appreciate since the tank is in my bedroom. Was easy to install, and easy to hide! Definitely reccomend!

Compared to other “non name brand” pumps this air pump is too loud. I’ve purchased similar capacity air pumps off eBay from China and after years of use they are quieter than this pump out of the box. If the pump is placed in a room that has other noises you probably won’t notice but in a quiet room such as a bedroom the hum from this pump is quite noticeable. The actual air volume pumped is reasonable. No complaints there.

I ordered this after reading tons of reviews.I hooked it up today and I am amazed at how quiet this air pump is!I have a aquarium in my room, I needed a quiet air pump.This is exactly what I wanted and I am very happy with this product.Worth the money. And I love that it was a double air valve.Highly recommend.

I set it on a hard dish sponge and it makes it even quieter than how quiet it is. Great air pump
