Great Affordable Starter
Love this Cardo, it’s perfect for what I needed it for which is mainly to listen to music. I’ve reached 100+ mph with Cardo at max volume & I could still hear music pretty well. It took me a while to install because I’m new to riding & I have no clue about anything but after watching a few YouTube videos it was actually pretty simple. I’ve tested the mic/speakers on a call & the audio was great. I haven’t made a call while riding yet so I can’t attest to how the speaker/mic works hand & hand there. I have however used the “Hey Siri” option by pressing the button on the cardo while riding & It worked effectively. The battery holds well, I don’t have to charge it every time I finish riding, maybe every other day which is pretty convenient for me. This is a great starter Bluetooth for me until I’m ready to upgrade.

Excellent alternative to Packtalk series
I bought my Spirit HD on Amazon when it was still $143. Installation on my old LS2 Valiant helmet took less than 10 minutes. It connected easily through the Cardo app, and pairing via Bluetooth was quick and straightforward. I've owned two Packtalk Bold units in the past, and I can honestly say that while the Spirit HD doesn't have all the features of the Packtalk series, it performs extremely well where it matters. The sound quality is good, the connection is fast, the noise cancellation works great, and the microphone provides excellent call quality. One common complaint I've seen is that you can't hear music clearly at highway speeds. That wasn't my experience at all. I recently completed a 100-mile ride and had no issues hearing my music. In fact, I actually had to turn the volume down because it was so loud. If you're trying to decide whether to spend significantly more on a Packtalk model or go with the Spirit HD, I would recommend the Spirit HD. It delivers excellent performance for the price. I'm even considering buying a standard Spirit unit for my second helmet so I have one available for a passenger.

Great improvement over the regular Cardo Spirit. highly recommend.
highly recommend the Spirit HD. i purchased the regular, cheaper spirit for my cheap amazon helmet and its just nothing but high's. no mids/bass in the audio and have to pretty much have it maxed out to hear. that one works for directions, but i don't recommend for music. if you want to hear clearly and listen to music while riding, then the Spirit HD is the one for you. great quality, easy install, compact size so its not an eye sore on your helmet. the audio range is great, so you have your lows, mids, and highs, and i can stress how much i've enjoyed it for the short time i've owned it.

Can only pair 2 units. Great sound quality and battery life.
These only pair together, you cannot add more than 2 headsets for multi rider communications for large groups. That being said, these work very well. Take a minute to learn the controls, but easy to use once you do. Sound quality is good as is noise reduction. Solid 2 rider communications and Bluetooth headset.

Not bad
FYI, I primarily use this for GPS directions and texts; I do not listen to music with it. My helmet isn't exactly the greatest for running in-helmet comms but the Cardo does do a decent job. The audio is a little too 'tinny' for my taste when it comes to music, but since I don't listen to music when I'm riding, it's not an issue. When it comes to GPS, texts, notifications, stuff like that, it works pretty well. Due to how my helmet is and how my ears are (years of loud music and things that go pew), I do have to have the volume up pretty high to combat the wind noise. The biggest issue that I have isn't with Cardo but its with Apple and I am mentioning it mainly so that other Apple users will know what they're getting into. If you have an Apple Watch and/or you have a passcode on your phone, listen up: 1. If you have an Apple Watch: In order to get notification sounds through the Cardo, you will have to go into Settings on your watch, then go to Passcode, then turn off Wrist Detection. This is the only way that I've found to get notifications to relay through the Cardo when I have it on. If Wrist Detection is on, then you will not get audible notifications when your phone is locked. 2. If you have a passcode on your iPhone, you will not be able to have Siri read your messages to you (through the Cardo) unless your phone is already unlocked. It is extremely annoying and defeats the purpose of the "hands free" concept. You can turn off the passcode but you better do it an hour before riding because of Apple's security waiting time that is in place. If anyone knows a different fix for this, I'm all ears. You can still send messages and make calls through the Cardo when the iPhone is locked but she will not read your messages.

Excellent for dirt bikes
My 9yo son wanted to get into riding dirt bikes so I got these so we could communicate while we rode and they are excellent. Range is good unless you get a large obstacle in between you. Sound quality is excellent, we ride about 20mph and don’t pick up wind or motor noise, battery life is great. Not sure what buying the fancier version gets you above these since they are pretty solid

Checked all my blocks! Very happy.
Previously had the freedcom F1. It was fine for music, but didnt do much else well. Made the change to cardo because I wanted coms to my passenger. This thing is absolutely perfect. Four buttons to work the simple stuff keeps it easy. It is sleek and doesnt look stupid stuck to the side. It was easy to install and initiate connection to my phone and the other headset. Intercom function was well worth the money. It softens the music when we are talking, it takes no extra manipulation to go from jamming to our own separate music taste to having a conversation. If you are wondering between this and a different option, go with this. The only caveat being if you want to talk to several people. If you are only connecting to one more headset, you wont find anything better.

Great for music, not for communication
I bought the dual set for my husband and me to use while dirt biking — mainly for safety reasons like checking in if one of us falls, has a mechanical issue, or just to stay connected on the trail. The listing claims a communication range of 600 meters, but unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. While riding in a more wooded area, we started losing connection at around 100 feet. Understanding that terrain can affect signal strength, we tested again in an open area with a clear line of sight, and even then, the connection dropped at under 200 feet. Because reliable communication was our main purpose for buying these, we ended up returning them. That said, the headset did work well for music. The sound quality was surprisingly good — clear and loud enough to enjoy while still staying aware of our surroundings. Battery life was also impressive; after three hours of riding, the headset still had plenty of charge left. If your primary need is to listen to music while riding, this could be a solid option. But for communication between riders, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Easy to use. Good quality sound.
Bought this to replace my aging Cardo Scala G9 (which still worked after 14 years but the button plastics, speaker/mic foams on it were degenerating and it was no longer waterproof). Unfortunately, I don't ride in groups so I can't comment on the rider-to-rider communication range... but the bluetooth pairing with my Garmin Zumo and my Samsung smartphone works really well. The Spirit HD is probably the closest in specification to my old G9 but it's much easier to control due to four prominent and well-spaced buttons. However, the biggest "wow" for me was the sound quality. It's head and shoulders above what I had previously. It's clear and has a surprisingly good low end so great for music. Navigation and calls are also very clear. One can only assume the JBL upgrade must sound amazing for them to make it available. Battery life is decent - lasts around 12 hours - and it charges reasonably quickly if you use a fast charger. I use it on a full face Arai helmet so it was relatively easy to fit and conceal the excess cabling behind the helmet padding. I'm really pleased with it. Seems decent value too. Definitely recommended.

Buena calidad-precio

Quality, works perfectly.
Works as described, takes calls almost perfectly. Slight delay in answering but no issue. Sound is decent, not JBL quality but can enjoy music up to 90km an hour, after that depends on the wind noise reduction of your helmet. Easy to use buttons. Holds charge for a while days ride with battery life to spare. Charges fast. Works for gps, Spotify, all Bluetooth stuff. I haven't tried connecting to other cardi spirit HD yet.
